This is a fabulous place, by far best around Groesbeek. Out of the way, on the outskirts of town, with a very good view of the village. We stayed in one of the suites and it was spacious and well appointed, with quality toiletries, a fireplace (ok, fake fireplace, but nice), and interesting interior design. The dining experience alone is well worth the stay - the restaurant is serving quality fod and wine. Staff is very friendly and accomodating - we arrived considerably earier than announced, before check in time, and they took care of our heavy luggage. Waiters in the restaurant friendly and efficient.

The staff is very kind, they tried to fulfill all of our requests. The area is clean and friendly, and is near to the centre. The bus station is half-a-min far from the hotel. We had a great breakfast there, too. It's easy to communicate in English, almost everyone speaks it fluently.

A great hotel equipped with a lot of amenities, including a perfect one for those traveling on bicycles. The safe bicycle shelter is equipped with charging sockets. The rooms are large and comfortably furnished, as well as the bathroom, clean. Breakfast delicious and varied. There are small gardens next to the rooms on the ground floor, where you can relax in the evening after a long day.

A charming wine region with charming wineries offering...

A charming wine region with charming wineries offering terraces and wine (and more). Perfect for a challenging cycling route (with or without an e-bike). A lovely cycle path alongside a (former) railway line. Beautiful, varied scenery with varying elevations. The Freedom Museum is highly recommended.

For museum visitors, Groesbeek is centrally located near many well-known major museums, such as the Open Air Museum and the Freedom Museum. It's also part of an area with beautiful nature. And in "normal times," many German towns like Kleve are also very close.

Groesbeek is a lovely village with plenty of shops and places to eat and drink. We could walk to the town center through a park-like area. The village also has beautiful architecture. We didn't find any woods within walking distance for a stroll.

Beautiful hiking area.

Beautiful hiking area. The Pieterpad, the N70 (strenuous but especially doable in warm weather, as it's 95% forested), and the vineyard walk are highly recommended. There's plenty to see and do for tourists. We had a delicious meal at the Oude Molen restaurant and the pancake restaurant on Duivelsberg.

A lovely little town with many beautiful walks and bike...

A lovely little town with many beautiful walks and bike rides nearby. There's a fascinating war museum, and throughout Groesbeek, there are signs with photos from the era. There are several nice restaurants and bars, and for a small town, there's a good selection of shops. Groesbeek is close to Nijmegen and Germany.

The location is absolutely wonderful. Unlike most of the Netherlands which is mostly flat, here you have a great view overlooking the small valley and part of the village of Groesbeek all in the middle of the rolling green countryside and big trees in the forest. Breakfast and dinner were very good, a nice atmosphere and friendly staff.

I enjoyed staying at de Oude Molen. The place is home away from home. The space was spacious with warm water and best facilities for self catering and sufficient gas for cooking. It is also convenient to the bus stop as well as Grosbeek centrum for shopping.

Warm & welcoming staff, great bar area, ideally located not far from the centre of the town. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the continental breakfast was great. I'll definitely consider using this hotel again if I'm in the area.
