Very central location in the middle of the old part of Amersfoort. We stayed in the newly renovated flat, which was super nice, spacious and had all needed amenities available. Staff was very hospitable and helpful, and food and drinks were really good as well. We can highly recommend staying at Long Johns.

Everything was very relaxing and peaceful. Even though it was just off the motorway, you could not hear it. All the staff very friendly and helpful. The food was delicious( don't expect burger and chips) The food is more like fine dining.

Took two bike tours across the Utrechtse Heuvelrug.

Took two bike tours across the Utrechtse Heuvelrug. The Van der Valk hotel in Leusden is a good base for this. We did leave the bikes on the car, as many other visitors did. For convenience, we dined at the Van der Valk. We'll do that differently next time.

Leusden itself certainly has some fun and interesting things...

Leusden itself certainly has some fun and interesting things within its borders, but the surrounding area is actually more appealing for both walkers and cyclists. Moreover, you're right next to Amersfoort and numerous attractions are within cycling distance.

The hotel room is a bit bare in my opinion, but others might...

The hotel room is a bit bare in my opinion, but others might certainly appreciate that. The highway is very close, and you can hear it, but not so much in the room. Very friendly people. Amersfoort is easily accessible by bike and offers great shopping.

Very nice and clean property, design in my taste. I love location- forest is beautifully. But property is just a building, this place make people- staff working there. Everyone is very nice and polite and very helpful but I would like make thank especially to Arnold- the host and Diana - receptionist: for them everything is possible also they care about the customers and make my stay at the property special. Next time if I will have dog show at Netherlands I will back to this hotel definitely 💯

Very pleasant stay and the room was the largest I have ever had in a hotel. Also the room was very clean. And there was a welcome surprise for my dog, which was super cute and kind. The hotel staff was very attentive and took care (proactively!) of my special need that I formulated just as a question but then there was immediately a solution. Very good experience.

The hotel has a quite luxurious look & feel. We were pleasantly surprised by the very large room and spacious bathroom. Everything was clean and welcoming. The staff at reception was very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was the best we’ve had in any hotel in the Netherlands. The center of Leusden is a 15 minute walk away.

The hotel reception is very fancy and nice. The room was big and the it was nice that the bathroom had a bathtub and a shower and an extra WC. The beds and pillows were comfortable.
