Our room had an exquisite garden view, a striking piece of artwork that added a lovely touch, and divine bathroom products that made it feel like an exclusive boutique hotel. The breakfast was exceptional—thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented. We also really appreciated the secure bicycle parking. A standout experience from start to finish.

This is a very beautiful and well decorated house, with very welcoming hosts. I was really close to the theatre where I was attending an event and, in the mornings, I could simply enjoy the big room, take a coffee, read and study in silence and will all confort. The bed was also very confortable. A great place for those who look for a quiet and comfy stay.

We visited this little charming Hotel for a short break. We really were surprised with how much attention to detail this Villa was eqipped. From the moment we arrived, the hotel staff was absolutely fantastic. We were warmly welcomed and immediately given a detailed explanation about the city, including important guidelines regarding restricted traffic areas, boat rentals, suggested routes, and the main attractions to visit. Their guidance made a huge difference in how smoothly our trip went. Breakfast was another highlight—everything was fresh and delicious, especially the homemade bread, which was simply outstanding. One particularly thoughtful gesture was that the hotel kindly allowed us to leave our car parked there (even after the check-out) while we explored the area, which made everything so much easier and stress-free. The Wi-Fi connection was fast and reliable. Overall, it was a truly memorable experience, and I would gladly return!

It's not a bad little town.

It's not a bad little town. Lots of places to eat not far from the B&B. Clean streets. Some graffiti. I'm not sure what the draw would be for tourists, but I had business there and it was quite enjoyable.

Steenwijk is a charming town.

Steenwijk is a charming town. It's centrally located in an area with many opportunities to enjoy nature. There's also a beautiful villa, Rams Woerthe, and the Hildo Krop Museum inside it. Both are highly recommended. Be sure to stroll through the park near the villa.

Steenwijk is the ideal base for exploring Giethoorn.

Steenwijk is the ideal base for exploring Giethoorn. The town center is also pleasant, with plenty of opportunities for a cozy terrace or a delicious lunch or dinner. Rams Woerthe, with its beautiful park garden, is well worth a visit, and the Nettelbosch city garden is also a lovely place for a stroll.

Cozy. Quiet village. All the streets look neat. Pleasant village square with restaurants and cafes. The host recommended eating at "De Opschepper" in Steenwijk. It was very tasty and reasonably priced. I highly recommend this bistro.

Steenwijk is a charming town with plenty of sights nearby, including Giethoorn, dolmens, and forests. Steenwijk boasts charming restaurants and lively pubs. It offers peace and quiet, yet also plenty of entertainment. We enjoyed a delicious meal at De Opschipper. Afterwards, we went into town and ended up at Café Het Pantje, which was very welcoming.

Because I was able to leave later than expected, I was...

Because I was able to leave later than expected, I was allowed to stay in my room after checkout time (11 a.m.). This was despite the fact that, due to unforeseen circumstances, I had checked in much too late the day before. Very kind! I was only there briefly, so I don't have any recommendations.

We really appreciated everything about this property. Eric was amazing and went the extra mile - collecting us from the train, good advice about the area and assisting us with our trip to Giethorn. Steenwijk is a gorgeous place and one worth spending some time in.
