the property is very cozy and Nik the owner really made me fell comfortable. made sure everything was ok, without hovering. so there was still a lot of privacy. also there is Airco in the trim which came handy in one of the warmest weeks of the year.

It’s a building with a lot of history, great quality of materials, beautiful service and in proximity to downtown. Even the IT system was down, they found ways to make the check out for all customers, without huge waiting time. The manager and receptionist was really helpful with a specific request, that will remain forever in my memory, as they helped and after mentioned it was complementary from the house. Will never forget!

We enjoyed the peaceful Sittard & the hotel has a lovely vibe. Everybody is helpful, friendly & efficient. We travelled with a small dog & there is a nice park right behind the hotel.

Lovely and friendly staff who were very welcoming. The location was perfect for me, as it was next to a stop of point for the maas cycle route. The restaraunt did delicious food, and I could store my bike in the cellar securely.

I couldn't sleep in the bed in the master bedroom.

I couldn't sleep in the bed in the master bedroom. I was simply eaten. I don't know if there were bedbugs because I didn't have any wounds, but I was very itchy. I was alone in that bed. Other family members in the other beds weren't bothered by them.

Went to Valkenburg with the family.

Went to Valkenburg with the family. It was fun, but a 40-minute drive. We also went to the Discovery Museum (Kerkrade), which was also fun, but also a 45-minute drive. We took a nice walk from the campsite. The cottage was mediocre but not expensive. The bed was quite firm but fine. The shower was nice.

Peace and quiet and a great base for excursions.

Peace and quiet and a great base for excursions. Larger cities are just half an hour away. Went to C-mine in Genk with a family of seven adults, which was educational and interesting, and then went shopping there. Went to the western tip of Germany and hiked there. We did some grocery shopping at the Plus supermarket in Susteren, which sells lots of local products.

We were in the blue zone, which I wouldn't recommend to...

We were in the blue zone, which I wouldn't recommend to anyone; it's a run-down area of their park. Upon arrival on Friday, all the garbage bags were scattered around a dumpster, and upon departure, they were still there. No security checks at the park, nothing...

Susteren is a quiet village.

Susteren is a quiet village. The nice thing is that you're so close to Belgium and Germany. You can go hiking and there's a train station, convenient for day trips. Restaurants, shops, and supermarkets are minimal. The Greek restaurant in Susteren is highly recommended, but be sure to book in advance as it's often fully booked!
