We enjoyed our 2 nights stay in this place. Caban is small but well organized and clean. Private garden very appreciable. Parking the car nearby in the village was not a problem We arrived after checkib time however Hosts arranged so that we could do self checkin.. Supermarket and cafeteria are nearby. Vollenhove is beautifu as a village,l with very typical houses, and a nice park. I recommend !

Lovely location with a unique character. Friendly hosts, who live next door and clear instructions. Free and convenient parking 2 minutes walk from the front door. The kitchen is well equiped. Vollenhove is a cute little city. There is ample shopping within a five minute walk of the house. The place is excellent for exploring the wider surroundings. Zwolle is a great city at about a half hour drive. There are also lots of other nice destinations nearby, like Kampen, Urk, Lemmer, and all kinds of beautiful watery landscapes (rivers, IJsselmeer, polderlandscapes, peat extractions etc.) giving you a historic crash course in how-to-build-the-netherlands. Amsterdam is only slightly over an hour away too.

We were on a bike tour of north eastern Netherlands. This was our favorite overnight stop from 8 overnights. The room was large, with a lovely view of the river and a great balcony that we sat out on, It was really a very comfortable room. We ate dinner there and again it was great. What a lovely location. All of the staff were so helpful. Bike storage was great. A locked room with charging points. Breakfast was fantastic. A very large selection of food in the buffet and a pleasent bright room to sit in.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Hotel Giethoorn and I must say that my experience was fantastic in several aspects, including the self check-in system, luxurious toiletries, and value for money. Firstly, the self check-in system at the Hotel was a convenient and easy process. The hotel provided clear instructions on how to check-in even quickly without any hassle. Furthermore, I was pleasantly surprised to find out that the toiletries provided by the hotel, including shampoo, body cream, and shower gel, were from the exclusive and expensive brand, Rituals. The products were of high quality and added to the luxurious experience of my stay. Lastly, considering the current inflation and high energy costs, I was pleased with the overall value for money that the hotel provided. The price was reasonable and justified given the excellent location, comfortable room, and exceptional cute village.

The manor house was located at the start of the Tulip Route,...

The manor house was located at the start of the Tulip Route, which is why we chose it. The house is romantic, the grounds are huge with a castle ruin. Ideal for walks! Our room was spartan, and breakfast was far too expensive for what was served. Dinner was also very expensive.

A beautiful little town. Hikers and cyclists have endless opportunities to explore the surrounding area. The town also has a harbor. There are several restaurants. Vollenhove is definitely worth a visit.

The city palace was unique in its location and ambiance. The truly princely breakfast was also a highlight. We visited several hotels during our cycling tour around the IJsselmeer, but the overall impression completely blew us away.
