it's a good price for the island. I think it's the only hostel. AMAZING breakfast spread with extra veggie options. Nice bar. amazing ciew. Staff was very nice. Good location, about 20-25 min walk from the town // pier. they also help arranging shuttle in case you don't want to walk. bycicle rental. bathrooms with privacy rather than these cubicle things.

We visited the areas on the island where grandparents were...

We visited the areas on the island where grandparents were born, lived and died. We enjoyed Midsland so much and West Terschelling as well. We didn't have time to visit other areas as were only there for two short days! It was a two day visit in our 12 day travel. Our two days on Terschelling were the highlight of our trip. (We really enjoyed the ferry each way as well! We got to see the sunset on our trip to the island and the sunrise on our return trip to the mainland. We would highly recommend a visit to all of the island. We hope to return!

Beautiful beaches, offering deep water horse riding,surfing,all kinds of bootcamps. Neat clean beaches,dogs allowed. But you need a bike,you’ll drive 4,3km to Midsland where you find 2-3 shops,grocery store + nice restaurants or bars. Or you ride back to Terschelling where the ferry doks.you’ll find a beautiful bigger village:shops,bars,restaurants,hop on a boat to see Seagulls in their natural surroundings. It was amazing.There’s no other restaurant in West am Zee.

We loved the location and the beauty.

We loved the location and the beauty. The breakfast was delicious, and the staff were very friendly. The only downside was that there was no air conditioning in the room, and we couldn't check in until 4:30 PM because it wasn't ready beforehand.

Wonderfully peaceful, yet close to entertainment if you take...

Wonderfully peaceful, yet close to entertainment if you take the bus to West Terschelling. I didn't miss the car, didn't cycle because of bad weather, but walking is a great alternative and there are plenty of options. Nice beach bars.

I've cycled extensively through the dunes, and it's wonderful. The peace and quiet, with only the wind and birdsong to hear. At night, you see so many stars you wouldn't normally see. The food and drinks at the hotel are excellent, but the "Resting Hunter" is also recommended. Good service and a friendly atmosphere.

Wonderful cycling, walking, swimming...

Wonderful cycling, walking, swimming... Midsland and West are close by for amenities and lively atmosphere, but West aan Zee is wonderfully peaceful. The hotel is a great place for lunch and dinner, but the beach pavilion is also highly recommended.

This was a dream stay. The room was so spacious and since I had taken the love package, we received Bubbles & the bed was decorated. Although we both would have liked the bed to be decorated with real flowers instead of artificial but I also understand the decision behind it. We loved the balcony and the beach view it had provided. Wish we could have stayed longer. We also appreciated the options for renting bike directly from the Hotel.

Staff was very welcoming and check-in was a breeze. The hotel is located right at the beach and easy to reach by bicycle, car or bus from the harbour. The room, communal areas (including the pool / spa) were all very clean and the room included coffee+tea. The hotel restaurant provides some great dinner options in a very nice, comfortable and cozy atmosphere.

Spacious suite, excellent bed, close to the beach. It’s an upscale beach hotel where you feel comfortable to bring in a bit of sand on your shoes. Exceptional reception staff who went out of their way to be helpful. The hotel organized electric bikes which were excellent.
