Absolutely amazing location, views and architecture. Totally peaceful, only birdsong. Sverre was v friendly and interesting. One of the best places we've stayed, would like to bring the family back.

From the moment we arrived, Hotel Ullensvang felt like stepping into a dream. Nestled between majestic fjords and snow-capped mountains, the location alone is worth the trip — but what truly makes it extraordinary is the warmth and attention to detail from the entire team. The rooms are spacious, beautifully designed, and offer breathtaking views that change with the light of day. Waking up to the sight of the fjord was pure magic. The infinity pool overlooking the water is simply spectacular, and the wellness facilities are spotless, serene, and perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring. Breakfast and dinner were both exceptional, with fresh, local ingredients and a variety that caters to every taste — all served in a dining room with panoramic views. The staff went above and beyond to make every moment special, anticipating our needs before we even had to ask. Hotel Ullensvang is more than just a place to stay — it’s an experience of comfort, beauty, and Norwegian hospitality at its finest. I cannot recommend it enough, and I’m already planning my return.

It's perfect that the supermarket is right next door – there...

It's perfect that the supermarket is right next door – there aren't many shops, restaurants, etc. in the area. This is especially important if you don't have your own transport. The waterfront is wonderful, and the free kayaks make everything wonderful in this dream location, which was a highlight of our northern summer trip.

The place is beautiful and very peaceful.

The place is beautiful and very peaceful. The woman who helped us was very kind and accommodating. The cabin is very well equipped with cooking utensils and also in the living area. Having two separate mini-bedrooms, separate from each other and from the common area, is a great idea. The beds were comfortable. It's very easy to access. I definitely recommend it.

An idyllic and beautiful village. For lazy or active days.

An idyllic and beautiful village. For lazy or active days. Great and interesting cultural trail and rock carvings. Good restaurant, Meieriet. If I had had more time there would have been more walks and swimming in the sea. Easy to get around on foot, but the public transport to and from is often not the best. I came in my own car.
