The facilities are amazing and the staff are delightful. We loved being here for 4 days as we got to use everything. The pool and spa are so lovely after hiking all day. The gym is nice and clean with good quality equipment. Loen is a fantastic destination, so much to see and do. The Fjord and the lake are stunning and it was all easily accessible from Hotel Alexandra. We will definitely be back.

beautiful view of the river with a very nice pathway to the park and a short walk to the gondola. Breakfast was very good, lots of choices. the staff were right on top of refilling food trays

Our stay at Visnes Hotel Stryn felt like a peaceful journey back in time. The hotel has a cozy and bright atmosphere that reminded me of staying at my grandmother’s house – warm, welcoming, and full of charm. The room was exceptionally clean and comfortable. We arrived very early due to our bus schedule, and the staff kindly let us leave our luggage even before check-in time, which was a big help as it was raining and nothing nearby was open. The staff was incredibly kind and thoughtful throughout our stay. Highly recommended for those who love nature and authentic Norwegian charm.

Absolutely the right choice to stay.

Absolutely the right choice to stay. The view is amazing, the kitchen is fully equipped, actually everything you need is available, just bring your own food and you can even cook, wash your clothes. The balcony decoration and location.

My adult daughters and I were visiting Norway and planned...

My adult daughters and I were visiting Norway and planned to drive from Bergen to Alesund. We chose the Loen because it was about half way between each city. We spent two nights at the Loen. The beds were comfortable. Food was very good considering my kids are vegetarian. Desert table was amazing. Spa area was lovely, relaxing and we spent a few hours just lounging in the waters - showere, sauna, steam, cold plunge, whirlpool etc. Pools were also fun. We also went hiking in the area. We enjoyed our stay at the hotel and would recommend it to anyone traveling in the area.

A small town ideally located as a starting point for hikes, via ferrata, and the skylift. However, there are very few shops; you have to go to Olden. But there is a grocery store open even on Sundays.

Very centrally located.

Very centrally located. Easy to get to by car and good parking spaces. Nice outdoor area for walks. If it's your first time there, take the time to "discover" all the facilities and activity rooms, swimming pool, etc.

One of the most beautiful areas in the world with fantastic nature and an incredible number of activities. Sitting in a restaurant on a bright summer evening a few meters from a rushing river, seeing beautiful mountains, feeling the warmth of the fireplace and with a glass of champagne: It was unique!

Fantastic place!

Fantastic place! We were very lucky with the weather, and that made the experience all the better. The skylift is very convenient, you get up the mountain quickly with good hiking opportunities AND to a very good restaurant, Hoven. Great food and absolutely amazing views!
