Amazing views of the glacier, new and very well equipped cabin. Beds were comfy, staff was friendly and helpful. You can use boats and and pedal boats for free, so we went fishing and caught some small trout in the lake. We spent one night, but it is definitely worth spending more time here if you have time.

The facilities are amazing and the staff are delightful. We loved being here for 4 days as we got to use everything. The pool and spa are so lovely after hiking all day. The gym is nice and clean with good quality equipment. Loen is a fantastic destination, so much to see and do. The Fjord and the lake are stunning and it was all easily accessible from Hotel Alexandra. We will definitely be back.

Our stay at Visnes Hotel Stryn felt like a peaceful journey back in time. The hotel has a cozy and bright atmosphere that reminded me of staying at my grandmother’s house – warm, welcoming, and full of charm. The room was exceptionally clean and comfortable. We arrived very early due to our bus schedule, and the staff kindly let us leave our luggage even before check-in time, which was a big help as it was raining and nothing nearby was open. The staff was incredibly kind and thoughtful throughout our stay. Highly recommended for those who love nature and authentic Norwegian charm.

Olden is a beautiful little town next to Loen with drives and outdoor acitivities galore. We stayed 2 days and could have stayed at least 2 more. We did the Skylift, ate at Hoven, drove to the Briksdal glaciar and the Kjenndalsbreen Glacier. Loved it!

Small town, very different from the rest on days when a cruise ship arrives. The town itself doesn't have much, 2 supermarkets, 2 sports outlet stores and services for when a cruise arrives. The views and excursions that can be made are spectacular.

Oldenvatnet is one of the most beautiful spots in Norway.

Oldenvatnet is one of the most beautiful spots in Norway. There are plenty of excursions to be had, and the campsite offers excellent facilities. Boats and canoes are available for rent, as are barbecue areas and covered picnic areas. Hiking opportunities are also available.

Olden's town center isn't much to look at.

Olden's town center isn't much to look at. You can do your grocery shopping, but there's not much else to see. You can enjoy some lovely walks, but your own transportation is essential. Pay attention to supermarket opening hours: they stay open shorter. Or bring plenty of supplies from home. The weather can be disappointing. But that's Norway.

Beautiful location, very peaceful. Near a waterfall. The accommodation was very well-equipped. The owner provided us with detailed information about the hiking options. We walked a beautiful 10-kilometer trail. However, we found the bus ride, which took just over 5 minutes at €10 per person, rather pricey.

Incredibly beautiful accommodation in a perfect setting. Possibility of fishing in the glacial lake right next to the accommodation. Don't forget to buy water directly from the local glacier called Olden in the nearby town. You won't find it anywhere else!

This campsite is absolutely lovely and more than lived up the expectations we had of it when we booked. The accommodation was spotlessly clean and well-equipped. The site overlooks a lovely fjord with spectacular views and is perfectly located for a quiet, restful stay. We enjoyed using the boats as part of our stay, which I think all campsites should offer. It was by far our best campsite stay in Norway.

The house is large and has plenty of space for guests. The garden is beautiful and has an amazing backdrop of the mountains with the soundtrack of the rapids in the river. Truly a peaceful space. The house was well equipped in the kitchen and had a good washing machine and tumble dryer which were welcome! It’s an easy drive or walk into Olden itself and the owner was very helpful and responsive.

Amazing house in a spectacular location - we are so happy we chose to stay here. Absolutely everything was perfect, I wish it will be possible to return one day! The house has all you need for a wonderful vacation in Olden, Loen, Stryn (30min drive) area.
