The cabin had enough space for all of us (4 adults and a 4 years old boy), a great kitchen, and well-kept toilets with a super-duper shower. Some of the lights weren't working but, that is something that can be fixed easily. If you are an explorer, this is the perfect place to stay on your way to Telemark. Around the town there are paths to go for a long/short trip, the mountains are a spectacle to see and the landscapes are amazing!.

Røldal is a small and a beautiful town.

Røldal is a small and a beautiful town. Nice walk in the nature also the views are fantastic. We did not explore the local food there because we are vegetarian. But tried coffee and Bakari. It was nice. You can see some good waterfall and steep mountains around the town and good water bodies. We did not swim but I think there are some places you can go swimming also saw some people kayaking. Folgefonna glacier is approximately one and half hour drive from the town. Given a chance you must go. It is just awesome.

We had booked a cabin for three, but got a cabin with only a narrow, inadequate double(?) bed. This was the worst accommodation of the whole week in Norway. You need to be able to sleep well if you are going to be able to drive the next day. Cheap is no excuse.

What I liked best in Røldal was the stave church, I was lucky enough to attend a service in the stave church, interesting brochure to read afterwards. There was no offer of a tour of the church, but it would have been possible if one had asked.

A somewhat dingy room without towels or linens.

A somewhat dingy room without towels or linens. The owner brought these (for a fee) after two hours, and you even have to make your bed. The price is way too high for what you get. Our next destination was a four-star hotel with all the trimmings, including breakfast, for a lower price. Skip that one.

I didn't get the accommodation I'd booked: a tent instead of a holiday home. Moreover, you had to pay extra for hot water using tokens purchased at reception, which was closed. A cold shower! I couldn't get out of there fast enough!

We booked one of the red hytte on this camping and had an amazing stay there. The interior was fully made from wood which gave it a very cozy vibe. It had everything we needed including a flat screen tv, vacuum cleaner, dishwasher and many more useful things. The view on Røldal was amazing too, it's such a beautiful village.

Perfect Location, in the center of Røldal. Coop on the other side of the street. Warm water, heating in the cabin was good. Working fridge and overall clean cabin with Cutlery, dishes, hotplates, running hot water. That was ok.
