The staff was super friendly and helpful. The room and bed were comfortable. The facilities, including the pool and hot tub, are lovely, and you can enjoy them in the afternoon/evening, once there's not much left to do in the town. The breakfast was excellent too!

It's essentially a small house with everything you need. Incredibly ambient and cosy warm. Roaring fire with the snow outside. Lots of comfy seats. Beds good. Bathroom good. Friendly host who lives next door. Very obliging re early check in and bag storage. Great location up the hill in old Town. We are half way through 3 week trip staying mostly in apartments and I'm pretty sure this one won't be beat

It was old and authentic. The placement was ideal for us in the parallel street to the main street. Just a couple of minutes walk to the nearest eating places. The beds were comfortable and top quality bedding (sheets and duvets/pillows) Bathroom was clean and shower worked great. Lots of info about the place. The town definitely deserves the UNESCO status that it has the buildings date back from the 16th century and with the history of the copper mines makes it all more interesting. The wooden buildings are exceptional and the insight of how the miners used to live. It gives you food for thought

Beautiful and historical UNESCO world heritage city. Definitely must to visit place. Food and accommodation is more expensive than in Oslo. You should well plan your visit. I recommend you to take walking tour with guide from the Museum

The town was bustling in the evening with lots of folks out and about, dining and shopping. We were looking for authentic Norwegian food that we did not find. There were a few musicians playing in the evening which was nice. We also thought the food was pricy compared with other cities in Norway.

This is one of the few, and an exceptionally lovely example, of an historic town of wooden houses that I have ever seen. Walks in the town are a treat for the eyes, and there are several hotels, restaurants and other businesses in historic buildings as well. I don't recall identifying a single modern building among the several historic area blocks that I explored, There is an unobtrusive, small, modern mall nearby. The region also has lovely, wide valleys and high, rounded hilltops. It's all a delight.

We went to the main museum which was housed in the former...

We went to the main museum which was housed in the former smelting works. It was very informative and the audio guide was helpful, talking you through in considerable detail the various mining processes. At the time we visited (mid June) there was only one guided tour each day at the mine which is 13 km from Roros and this did not fit with our schedule. Apart from this main museum there was not a lot else to see once you have walked up and down the two main historic streets. We were irritated to have to pay to go into the church . I never like this.

We had a lovely stay at Røros Hotell! The location was perfect for exploring the charming town of Røros. The rooms were clean and cozy, and the wellness area with the pool was a highlight — such a relaxing atmosphere after a day of sightseeing. The breakfast selection was great too, with something for everyone. Staff were kind and helpful. Would definitely recommend for a peaceful getaway.

The hotel is a beautifully maintained and modernized, likely one-time multi-generational family complex. It is part of hundreds of lovely historic buildings in a beautiful, fascinating town high in the hills of eastern Norway. The hotel and town are something special. My dinner and breakfast were really good.

Roros itself is a nice little town to spend 2 days. If you've seen the mine and the main street there is not much to see in the city itself. The hotel is located in the center, which is good for short walks to the mine and the main street starts right there.

Great hotel in the middle of town. Nina, the receptionist gave us a history lesson of Roros. It was very interesting. She was amazing and very nice. The hotel was cozy and breakfast very good.
