This place is truly magical. Mette put so much love and attention to detail in there that you can only feel right at home. We were very sad to just stay one night! The entire house was beautifully decorated and heated to a cozy temperature when we arrived. The kitchen has absolutely everything you would need, the wifi is great and it was absolutely clean. You can even use the small terace in the wintertimes. Thank you Mette for letting us stay in your lovely home!

Everything !! We were lucky to be in the executive suite nbr 2 which is the best room of the hotel. We had an amazing view on the forest and the sea, and the hot tub all for ourselves as the other suite was not booked. The suite was huge, well equipped with a coffee machine, plates, cups, and glasses. Tea, coffee, and sugar at disposal. The beds were super comfy and the huge sofa was awesome to wait for the northern lights. The breakfast was delicious and very varied. I got addicted to their waffles. The receptionist was exceptional with us. He helped us with the ferry, explained how it worked, even assisted in planning a back-up itinerary in case we didn’t get it. They also arranged an early breakfast, as we had to leave at 7:30, so they opened the restaurant one hour earlier just for us. We really had an exceptional stay. We’ve read somewhere that the owners have changed and I can vouch that all the previous bad reviews that were written about that place do not reflect the reality now and the amazing experience we had. One thing to be aware of: only the executive suites have access to the hot tub, and only the suite nbr 2 has a view on the forest.

Nice little house with everything you need in a quiet area with view on the water and on the passing ships. Very nice host. Gibostad is a nice village with a coffeehouse and a decent shop. Only the restaurant was temporarily closed. Good place to explore the island. Highly recommended.

I had an amazing stay at this house in Senja! It was super cosy, spotless, and had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. Our stay at this apartment was nothing short of exceptional! The location perfectly lived up to its name, offering the peaceful, remote setting we were looking for. With minimal light pollution, the sight of the northern lights was absolutely breathtaking as they danced across the sky. Though compact, the cabin is thoughtfully designed and equipped with everything needed for a comfortable and pleasant stay. The check-in process was seamless, with perfectly clear and thorough instructions provided by our host, Dag-Andre. The beds were extremely comfortable, and the warm woolen socks provided were a delightful touch, making relaxing in the cabin even cozier. It’s worth noting that traveling light is advisable, as the space is limited and best suited for minimal luggage. Dag-Andre was exceptional. He went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. Despite inclement weather, he travelled quite a long way to bring us essential groceries and food when we found ourselves under-prepared. He also proactively showed us the well-equipped barbecue hut on the premises, which we used as a comfortable base to set up our cameras while staying protected from the biting cold winds. The deck right by the ocean was perfect for capturing stunning photos.
