Beautiful rural spot with a lot of private space. Comfortable bed and scrumptious breakfast. Cozy room and wonderful view. Great location close to both Clyde and Alex. Hosts were friendly and kind. Loved the time with cows. We felt very lucky to stay here.

    There is a big clock on the hilltop.

    There is a big clock on the hilltop. A big playground in the city centre. An information centre with a museum and a small gallery in the same building. We could walk along the river in the bush. Grocery shopping was easy as there are two major supermarkets, New World and Woolworths. Fast food was easy to find. Cafes offer good-tasting coffee. There is plenty of free parking in the town centre, from where we could walk almost anywhere around the town. Alexandra is a small town for a visit, where you want to unwind in a laid-back setting. It is also close to Cromwell and Roxburgh, where you can go for cherry picking in the summer.

    Nothing to not like about Central Otago, Biking is superb...

    Nothing to not like about Central Otago, Biking is superb with Gold Trails, Dunstan Trail and Rail Trail all at your fingertips. Great cafe and restaurants in Clyde such as The Post Office and Olivers and The Court House in Alexandra.

    Alex is a great central place that you can get to all the good spots from. Much better than staying in Queenstown with all the traffic and planes going overhead. Accomm a bit more reasonably priced too

    Great cabin - if a bit small.

    Great cabin - if a bit small. Great view of mountain and cows. Beautiful breakfast and friendly hosts. Ate at Mexican restaraunt (seemed like the only one open). Good food and ambience. Would go back again.

    I was there for a golf tournament.

    I was there for a golf tournament. Absolutely awesome place to base yourself and friends. Has an amazing sports complex. I always enjoy a soak at the local pool. Lots of good restaurants to choose from. Including the RSA friendly and brilliant restaurant and atmosphere. Make time to browse around the shops

    Great town with personality.

    Great town with personality. Quality shopping available and awesome range of restaurants. Especially the Thai and RSA. Supermarkets options are great too. Recommend time at the local Pool . Nice to relax after an average game of golf. Must walk up to the clock on the hill. Beautiful views. And don't leave without walking over the bridge.

    Worst stay ever. Bed extremely rock hard and uncomfortable. The sheets were very dirty and sticky, the towels smelled revolting. Room walls had finger and foot prints and looked so dirty and unclean. The utensils and dishs were filthy and could not be used. Staff also very rude and unhelpful, they didn't even knock and barged in without asking. They told us "that we must get going" before 9 o'clock. Worst customer service ever. Most disgusting hotel I've stayed at. Do not recommend.

    The staff were friendly and the restaurant we ate at was only a minute walk down the road from the hotel. There was an extra pillow in the room and also an extra bed so we used the pillow on that. The guest kitchen was ok and they provided tea, coffee, sugar and milk for guests. If you wanted breakfast they provided a few types of cereals and bread to toast.
