The place was spacious, clean and peaceful. The beds were comfortable, AC worked good, especially during these hot summer days. Be mindful that it is an open shower. Prime location was the main reason we booked this place. City centre, cafes, restaurants, locals selling watermelons and berries, ice cream place and many more, just around the corner from the motel. This last minute get away was one of our best short trips yet. We stayed at the Avalon Resort, which is one of my favourite places we have ever stayed. I could have stayed for much longer. It just has the best vibe. down to the amazing host, Location and the rooms are just beautiful, (all have your own private decks) check in simple & easy. Makes you feel at home. We also enjoyed the Horse Trek at the DriftWood Seaside Escapes the next morning, about 40 minutes from the town centre. Milli is just amazing catered to my 2 young children and made us all feel so comfortable. the location of the Trek is just an amazing bonus. also the friendly dogs who come along for the Trek. The views are breath taking and Milli and her team are just the best! Our little stay in KeriKeri has to be the best short trips we have taken for a long time. we can't wait to come back. if your looking for a affordable Resort Bali vibe stay with your children or some alone time this is absolutely the place to stay. If you want to do something a little different check out Driftwood Seaside escapes and go see Milli for an exciting Horse Trek Through the Forest, down to the beach and through beautiful bush.

We decided to stay seven nights in Kerikeri and use this as our base to explore further North and East. This was the smart thing to do, because being at the tail end of Winter entering Spring, the weather fluctuates a lot. We timed being able to visit places when the weather was fine, and the bonus was there were hardly any tourists. Avalon Resort was a lovely place to stay, to simply relax and enjoy reading a good book on the rainy days!

Great host, cottage was spacious and great price. Beds were big and comfy. Kids were able to swim in pool and spa was hot. Just a walk away to town center. Theres a movie theater. We always stay here when we come to Kerikeri.

Wowzers! Avalon Resort in KeriKeri is an absolute sanctuary. The photographs don't do it justice. Hands down the best place to stay in Kerikeri. The photographs don't do it justice. As soon as you arrive you feel like you are in heaven. Grounds are stunning. The service was above and beyond. I travelled with my baby girl and the owner went above and beyond to make sure we had the most beautiful stay.

We had a free upgrade to Birdsong Retreat. The accommodation was beautiful, modern, and luxurious. Owners were friendly and welcoming. This was more of a home than any hotel room could be, with comfortable seating, upmarket furnishings, and fabulous bedding. I can't recommend Treghan Luxury Lodge highly enough. It was a wonderful stay.

The motel was in close proximity to the Saturday market and Makana chocolate factory- 2 of the more popular destinations in Kerikeri. The self- contained units were clean and spacious. The location was in a tranquil setting, surrounded by trees and park-like greenery. Staying in the motel puts one in a restful mode.
