Absolutely gorgeous little B&B, perfect for our overnight stay, and would be very comfy for a few days. Well stocked for breakfast and snacks, beautifully appointed with super comfy bed, and linens and a lovely bathroom. Quiet, cosy, hosts very welcoming - couldn't fault it and would recommend to anyone, and happily stay again. Thank you for a lovely experience.

Very spacious and comfortable for my party of 5. All beds provided restful sleep. Home has 2 queens and 2 twin beds divided amongst 3 bedrooms. The kitchen was well equipped and there were plenty of towels and linens available. Had WiFi and even some board games stocked.

The main point of our trip was to visit Hobbiton Movie Set.

The main point of our trip was to visit Hobbiton Movie Set. This is an amazing experience, our second trip. Have done both the lunch & dinner experience. Food, staff & experience rate a 10. Had a great meal at Sofra, food & staff were great. Breakfast at The Rich Coffee Cafe was nice and the staff were ok. Visited the I-Centre too and found the staff to be helpful.

Matamata was a complete surprise.

Matamata was a complete surprise. We ate at 4 different restaurants and each place had friendly staff and good selections on the menus. The information centre staff were wonderful and very helpful. Hobbiton exceeded our expectations. Will definitely be returning to Matamata

Matamata is a nice little town with the usual array of shops...

Matamata is a nice little town with the usual array of shops and some good eating places. Of course its access to Hobbiton, which was the purpose of our trip, but enjoyed a pleasant evening eating fish n chips in the wooded, shaded park area by the Isite.

We were in Matamata for a wedding at Hobbiton which was a great experience for us, even though we are not Lord of the Rings fans. Plenty of places to dine and from Maple Lodge was an easy walk into the main centre of town.

Lovely hosts and lovely little unit. Felt like home rather than a hotel. Very clean. Washing machine was a bonus. Appreciated the breakfast items like cereal and milk when travelling around with a little one and often pressed for time. Would stay again! Only 15 minutes away from Hobbiton which was perfect after a long day there!

Excellent stopover location in the heart of Matamata. Great instructions and pamphlets for guests using the property. Walking distance to the Info centre in town. Comfortable living quarters with a beautiful outdoors entertainment area. Loved that the toilet was separate to the bathroom.
