If you are in the area, then make sure you stay at Paheke Lodge. It's a wonderful heritage property with loads of character and a beautiful garden. The owners are really helpful and friendly, and provide a fabulous freshly made healthy breakfast. The stewed plums, picked from the garden, are just amazing. You won't regret staying here.

This is a very amazing experience! The house is very large, the facilities are also great, and the courtyard is beautiful. We met the hosts, who were very friendly and enthusiastic.They even made dumplings for us to celebrate Chinese New Year. This makes us feel very warm. It's a really beautiful, cosy and quiet place. The owners are lovely, friendly and helpful persons. We enjoyed comfortable beds, evenings by the fireplace and delicious breakfasts. Even played a bit tennis...first time in 20 years :-) Would love to come back again!

Beautiful peaceful haven, excellent facilities that also catered for my grandchildren perfectly. Plentiful healthy breakfast and lovely hosts. I would definitely like to return in the future and highly recommend.

Loved the stay.

Loved the stay. Hosts were great and accomodation was just what we needed. Small little town, however we we were not far from where our occasion was taking place on the Saturday before returning to Auckland.
