It's a really lovely place, with awsome people! We loved staying here. You can do some beautiful walks whenever you want. The place is central and close to 2 villages. The homeowners are always open to have a little talk or give you some great tips about the activitis. And the best of the trip was playing with Dale and Ela :D

Lovely little suite in a beautiful country setting. Although compact, the space was clean and comfortable. Comfy bed. Breakfast was not only provided but there was also ample and sufficient choice. Warm, hospitable hosts. The warm welcome provided by the resident cat “Snowdog” was purrrrfect!

Otorohanga has a world class 18 hole golf course with lovely views.

Friendly place good range of cafes etc liked the Kiwiana and hanging baskets . Town made an effort . Close to Waitomo Caves and enroute to Hamilton . Ate at Jasmihes Thai picked up picnic lunch at Fat Kiwi . Got supplies from Woolworths Countdown

Although this is a small country town it had all the conveniences we needed such as a Countdown, restaurants, cafes, great little unique shops, the kiwi house, green spaces, good public toilets, a big laundromat, take aways etc. Also very close to the Waitomo Caves, which is very handy.

We loved everything about our stay.

We loved everything about our stay. We arrived late at night and the room was waiting for us with the cosy warm light on so we knew exactly where to go in the dark. Everything was clean, the bed was comfortable and big and the breakfast was delicious. I can not think of anything should have been better, we were 100% satisfied and would love to stay longer or come back.

Loved the location, facilities, breakfast and welcoming host. It was perfect for our overnight stay and we really should have stayed a second night. The cabin is cute, well appointed and has a little deck with outdoor table & chairs. It was slightly ‘tight’ for room with our big traveling cases but we made it work.

The motel is very close (5 mins walk) to the railway station, restaurants/coffee shops and some tourist attractions, so it’s good for travellers who do not have a car. Another bonus was the host who allowed me to check-in early, drove me to my activity which was quite a way out of town and was a good source of local tourist information. The facilities are a bit dated but are clean and serviceable - they, and any dishes you might use, are cleaned daily.

I spent a very peaceful night here. This isn’t just a room in someone’s home, my room (and it looked like all the others too) had its own entrance. This meant I couldn’t hear any noise from other guests, and I had a great sleep. It’s ideally situated between Waitomo and Ōtorohanga where you can find plenty of food options. I met one of the hosts and she was lovely, and went the extra mile to provide options that met my dietary needs. Highly recommend!

High on the hill with a wonderful view and only a short drive to Otorohanga if you don't want to cook dinner. Also an easy drive to Waitomo. The apartment is quiet, clean and comfortable. The driveway looked ok but it was easy to park on the road and walk down the steps or the driveway.
