The hosts (Graeme and Deborah) go above and beyond with making your stay memorable. We had a freshly baked chocolate cake, fresh goodies from their garden, in addition to a well stocked supply of breakfast items. We woke up one morning listening to the magpies (birds) singing and the dairy cows next door right up against the fence within arms reach, ending the day watching and hearing the kākās (parrots) flying overhead - making us feel like it was a farm stay. An easy 30 minute drive to Hobbiton and 1hr to Waitomo Caves, plus an enjoyable short walk to riverside trails and suspension bridge make this an ideal location.

The cottage very nice, clean and spacious. The breakfast was continental and had a great selection of things to choose from. Loved the homemade bread! Our hostess Julie was extremely nice and wanted to make sure that we were comfortable.

This property was perfect for us. The accommodation was beautifully designed,and the location has amazing views . The outside area is perfect for a glass of wine while watching the sunset. The hosts were friendly and welcoming, and we would definitely recommend this property. The little extra’s of jams, butter, bread & milk along with homemade brownies was a lovely touch!
