Fantastic location and great hosts. Lois and Brendon went out of their way to make sure that we had everything we needed. They went above and beyond when we were out one day and it rained.They had our washing on the bed when we got home, especially appreciated as we flew out the next day. We will definitely return.

What a gem of a find. It is like stepping back in time when you enter this home. Julie is amazing host and her puppies and kitty are super friendly. The gardens you could spend all day in enjoying all the flowers, birds and bees. Close to all the great restaurants and not far from the city centre. Bed is super comfortable and breakfast was delicious.

The Woolworths Supermarket staff were super friendly & helpful. We had a lovely evening meal at The Plough which was in walking distance to our accommodation, our meals were lovely and affordable.

It wasn't actually in Rangiora but Woodend as advertised and the reason we choose to stay there.. Had to drive to Rangiora. Lovely Cafe and shopping area to visit as well as reserves to walk on. Would go again.

I have never been to Rangiora - although I am a Kiwi and...

I have never been to Rangiora - although I am a Kiwi and have been to Christchurch many times. Rangiora seemed a vibrant little town with some great little boutique shops - very impressed and very clean. Only wished we had one more day to explore.

Fall in love with the beautiful town and its friendly people we went home and sold up and we now live here. Great eateries, shops, parks not far to Christchurch or the airport. Markets, gigs, beach, Ashley river and more.

Rangiora has boutique shops, pharmacy, banks, lots of grocery options. Petrol stations for gas, diesel, lpg. Town of 20,000 means all amenities. Pool for family, River for dogs or family. Sea close by for a swim or sunbathe, sunscreen needed. Mt Grey or Thomas for walks.

We arrived at the motel, to find the receptionist tell us that our booking had been cancelled due to a leak in the room. we were not contacted prior to this and they did not have any other rooms avaliable for us. we are from out of town and had no way of getting back. We were effectively left stranded, and the only option they gave us was to try find us a hotel room in Christchurch, which was not relevant as we needed to be in Rangiora for the night. it has now been nearly a week later and we have still had no refund.

I absolutely love this place! It was a gem that I stayed in en route from Kaikoura to Arthur's pass in a very cosy ensuite room. It was decorated really nicely and they left a lovely gluten free breakfast for me in the small self-contained kitchen area for the morning. I had this on the little chairs/tables outside while having a cuddle with their friendly dog. Also treated myself to the use of a dressing gown. If you need to stay in Rangiora then I'd definitely recommend Ra-ata farm!
