It was very poor accommodation.
It was very poor accommodation. Not clean before we got there room was very smelly n musky dirty smell. Lots missing from room. Utensils, TV remote, pots, toaster, iron. We couldn’t book anywhere else all booked out a big festival was on in the area. Emergency housing was in the Lodge they were disgustingly dirty (bogens) Dogs inside their hotel room. Their rooms were disgustingly yuk. Not a good experience I would not recommend anyone to stay there. Very poor. Bad Experience.Guest review byAriaNew Zealand - 10.0

We visited the new swing bridge just out of Stratford, takes about a half hour walk to get to it but well worth it. Walked to the township for a meal which was good as the weather was superb. We dined at Malones for dinner which was really nice. On the Sunday we had a great coffee and cake at a little gallery just off the main street which was a hidden gem.Guest review bySueNew Zealand - 8.0

Love the river walks and so many outdoors activities handy.
Love the river walks and so many outdoors activities handy. Enjoy the 3 bridges walkway. Not a young couple but do visit Stratford fom time to time. Cheese factory at Eltham and trips up the mountain.Guest review byFayNew Zealand - 10.0
I was born in Stratford . .
I was born in Stratford . . It was quite warm with a little rain .. It's not a City so much quieter than say New Plymouth . Tho has quite a Volume of Traffic through the Main street . . Has good pedestrian crossing in the Middle of town . . Plenty of food places and shops a Farming town too . I bought a Lamb Roast dinner from Broadway fast foods . Very pleasant staff and ever so helpful when kettle refused to boil. 40 minutes from New Plmouth. Stratford is a lovely little town with a magical clock tower.
