We absolutely loved our night here. Super clean, super comfortable beds, great space, beautiful shower, loved the basin, lovely and warm with the heat pump, but the little additional bits like the spray oil and box of tissues made it. Seeing the gardens in the morning was just the icing on the cake.

This accommodation is something else. We stayed in Chalet 5 Tui. It was comfortable and cozy, private and equipped with everything you need. - laundry facilities - fully equipped kitchenette - huge, comfortable bed - big bathroom We loved it here and it was the perfect place to end our trip on the South Island.

Lovely place in nature with birdsongs around,, very kind and helpful host. clean and comfortable room with outdoor seating in front. And enough electric sockets in the room! Wonderful stay in tent in the middle of nature. Only sound of silence, one sheep around eating lemon tree leaves :) unforgetfull time with delicious dinners prepared by Camilla. We loved the trip where we found mussels deep in pure Tasman see. Thanks for showing us this diving experience and at the end of day also cooked mussels with butter and beer souce. We recommend this glamping place. You will not regret. Thanks for everything.

Takaka is a fantastic location that gives good access to beaches all around the area, and the lovely Pupu Springs and Farwell Spit. The people in the town were lovely and friendly. We had the best vegetarian burgers, even better than our Ferg burgers from Queenstown! We all felt so safe and just enjoyed our time there. The drive over the Takaka Hill was a great experience, both in the misty rain and in beautiful sunshine.

When you come out of pupu springs rd turn left and go to the...

When you come out of pupu springs rd turn left and go to the pupu hydro tailrace track. not to be missed. Before walking the track go to the power station and read about it. you will get a much better understanding if you do this before the walk also suggest you do the walk clockwise

I loved every minute in this welcoming, peaceful, loving hippie community! Check out the notice board in town and attend events with the locals-- it's worth it! I was able to hitchhike all over Golden Bay, no problem! There are so many beautiful hikes and nature spots in the area. Also, stop in for a yoga class in town! Next to the studio, there's a smoothie place called Mermaid Beach House. Tell the owner, Amba, that a girl named Jenna sent you! Everything she makes is divine! I can't wait to go back!

Great little town with a lot to do around it.

Great little town with a lot to do around it. Try to visit the Labarith caves and smaller walks around the area. Most of the shops and galleries are shit on Saturday and Sunday. It has a large supermarket and great places to eat. This is the main base area for the Heaphy walk.

A beautiful peaceful place.

A beautiful peaceful place. Well located for visiting Golden Bay, Abel Tasman and the fabulous Farewell Spit tour. The waterfalls and springs are both beautiful. If you visit on Mondays there are limited places to eat in the evening, so I would recommend making a reservation.

Friendly host, useful travel tips Situated away from the the town, just a few minutes drive. So many beautiful spots to be explored from Takaka, the spring, the falls, beaches, salmon farm for the lunch, many walks, we should stay longer. Beautiful unit with outdoor seating and beautiful sunset view and beautiful night sky, surrounded by birds songs. Well equipped apartment with everything we need. Laundry facilities are available at communal area. Interesting glow worm cave to be explored at night.

Confortable backpackers very nicely located in Takaka. Walkable distance to the main street shops and cafés. The dorm was confortable and heaters useful as it was chilly. The two kitchens are well equipped, bathrooms clean, and common areas and terrace are very pleasant.

Clean, comfortable accommodation within easy walking distance of the main shopping and dining area of Takaka. Although we had only a studio unit it was quite spacious and the extra unused single bed was very useful for storing and accessing our suitcases.
