I booked this for my 80 yr old uncle who traveled from Rotorua for a funeral. He had car and phone trouble. He said the staff were so helpful with both these things and couldn't do enough to help.

The Manager was most helpful, obliging and friendly. Our apartment was clean, very comfortable, easy access and well located to town and attractions. The manager advised us of the many attractions to be seen. Certainly would recommend the Lodge. the washing machine was very welcome.

The hosts Donna & Neville were great. Nothing too much for them made us very welcome. The room was clean and very modern. There is a microwave, toaster, and kettle, and you are supplied with some food items, milk, butter, jam, cereal, and snacks ect. Lovely view of the canal from the veranda. You are able to use some e-bikes if you want to, although we did not take up the offer. Would I go again? Yes, I would.

Ann was extremely helpful. Provided great breakfast each morning. The room was very clean, modern and functional. Kitchen facility adjacent to room enabled us to prepare picnic lunches. Clothes washing facilities greatly appreciated. Highly recommend a stay with Ann & Roy. No a/c but high speed fan in room to keep cool. Bed was firm but comfortable for shorter stay. There are so many good things to say about the Kauri Villas. In a nutshell, it is the “SAME” choice I would take next time and recommend to others. By same, I mean the following: “Scenery” is by far the most beautiful one we came across in New Zealand; Mike and Andrea were super “Accommodating” hosts, which made our stay so pleasant; “Maintenance” of the property and facilities(pool, game room/barn, jacuzzi) was very nicely done👏🏼(you can tell the hosts put their heart not just money into it); “Everything-in-one” kind of stay where everyone can find something they like to do on the property (we were with a 4 year old, 2 30 somethings and 2 pensioners). We look forward to staying again.

My stay was perfect would recommend if you are in whangarei look for this motel for your stay rooms are very clean the couple who run the facilities are very nice friendly people and if you want a cooked breakfast please ask it is very good.

Would really recommend this community.

Would really recommend this community. Had the cutest coffee caravan just on the beach front and the community in general seems so nice and quiet. My family live in Onerahi so was a quick drive there for family dinners.
