I really like Whanganui & have visited often.
I really like Whanganui & have visited often. The city centre is lovely & there aren't food shops all over the place. This time I bought stuff from the supermarket to eat but I know some of the cafes are good. There should be a register of decent New Zealanders who respect motels so that they are looked after properly when they book for a visit. Some of the reviews appear to be vetted to show only good stuff. Unfortunately, the motels I know are good are usually booked out. I like this old heritage town.
I like this old heritage town. It has some lovely parks and grand old buildings. Walking by the river is pleasant and Bushy Park is an enjoyable visit. I enjoyed breakfast at the Orange cafe in town. The staff were very pleasant and welcoming.
