From the moment we arrived we were treated to Omani hospitality at its very best. The thrill of driving over the sandunes to the camp and on arrival being served with hot/cold beverages along with dates, fruit and nuts. Our host Hammed is a charming man and delighted to give us insight into the traditions and history of desert living but also to melt away and allow us to enjoy our surroundings. Nothing was too much trouble even when on the morning of our departure we had a flat tyre. Everything was sorted for us. The tents were airy, with warm comfortable beds and beautifully decorated in a traditional manner. Everywhere was spotlessly clean and well maintained including the onsite facilities which included a cold! morning shower. As our dinner was prepared we watched the sun set over the sandunes. The food was plentiful (too much to eat), beautifully served and a dazzling array of different dishes served at both breakfast and dinner. After dinner we relaxed by the camp fire stargazing enjoying more tea/coffee, dates fruit and nuts while enjoying the stillness of the desert at night. Obaid, the owner of the tent, is an excellent Omani guy who was willing to help us all the time. The check-in process was easy, and the tent and bathroom was clean. The food in the dinner was excellent. The night bonfire session was awesome, where Obaid shared the fascinating Bedouin tales. Breakfast was good too. Milking and feeding goat was a unique experience and that was made more valuable by the helpful staff there who taught us how to do that. We missed the sunset moment, as we were late to reach the camp. but the sun rise moment was awesome. The camp is right besides the dunes. We also booked the desert safari trip at additional cost, which is done by Abdullah - son of Obaid. He is skilled driver and the best part was that he taught us how to drive in the dunes in our car. This was like the unforgettable part for me as a driver in the sand dunes. Obaid sent us the location to the camp and direction map using maps.me. Google map doesn't provide the right drive location. Would recommend his advice to follow the route and you can reach there without any guide in your 4x4 vehicle.

Small campsite, which was great as our group had it to ourselves. Visited in November 2025, and all the facilities were brand new. Hamzu was an excellent host and provided everything we needed, including delicious brought in meals. Beds were very comfortable. Location is quite close to the Al Rama village, just a short journey into the dunes, but still far away to provide stunning views from the campsite and the dune just above it. Great elevated common eating area, common tent for socializing, and fire pit area.

The whole house is simply amazing, its very modern, and comfortable, you can see they paid attention to detail when designing the chalet. The swimming pool and rooftop were great as well, really enjoyed the pool after a hot day. The owner and his staff are very kind and helpful, and cooked the best meal I had in Oman.

We had the pleasure to spend two days and one night in the Oman desert at the glamping site just before New Year. We had selected this venue on the basis of Booking reviews. We did not know what to expect, but this turned out the best two days of our Oman holiday, also for our two young daughters. Salah, owner of the venue made this an exceptional experience. He organised the transport, camel ride, dune bashing and amazing dinner, full with surprises. He handled all of it, tailored it patiently to our wishes, adapted it on site, in a very smooth and relaxed manner, which enabled us to enjoy every moment our desert visit at the fullest. The accommodation was impeccable, the food delicious, and Salah and his experienced team incredibly nice and welcoming. In short, an unforgettable trip, filled with stunning moments and meeting kind local people, and we would warmly recommend this to all that would like to visit the Oman desert, and which could serve both as a romantic excursion as well as an adventurous one for a family with kids of all ages.
