What a gem to find on the plateau - greatest value for money, outstandingly friendly and helpful staff and management (Mr. Antonio), fantastic panorama views in the top floor used for the rich breakfast buffet (dinner options yet to come), a room with high standards, comfortable bed, cosy carpet, a seating area by the window...and a comfortable and clean bathroom and all rooms are also cosily warm Everything is far beyond the official 2 stars - we have been to a 2star hotel in Muscat for the same price and the Green View goes so much beyond it with its interior and also understanding of hospitality and service. It is brand new and small small things are still being finalised - if you encounter anything that is not fully to your satisfaction, don't hesitate to approach Mr. Antonio and his team and they will do everything to make you feel king and queen at their hotel.

Very good property with amazing views. Amazing drive through the mountains. If you are confident in driving, I would definitely recommend driving to the hotel. You can only take 4WD or AWD vehicles, there is a police checkpoint that doesn't allow cars with 4WD or AWD. If you have a car you can drive to some view points nearby, I think even the hotel arranges for some packages for view points and transportation. There are lot of restraunts in the nearby town, you can try some local food. The staff was super nice and helpful. The rooms were good with a nice balcony.. Room service for food could be a little faster. Housekeeping was good..Basanta and Mushard from the Housekeeping team was available and helpful The adventure park was really good with zip lines and different circuits. Very good breakfast options, nice swimming pool. They have a small kids play area as well.

The cosiest rooms, perfect location with incredible views of the 3 villages. Lovely food, perfect area to relax and watch the sunset. So glad we booked this place over the other resorts in the area. It felt so authentic and peaceful. Beautiful flowers presented to us as dinner for our anniversary- so thoughtful!

Jabal Al Khdar is a peaceful, mountainous township with all necessary facilities. Please note that a 4x4 vehicle is mandatory—vehicles are checked at the checkpoint. If you arrive in a sedan, you’ll need to leave it below and either take a taxi or rent a 4x4 to reach the top. Ensure your car or SUV is fully maintained, especially the brakes and tires. It’s advisable to book your stay in advance. You can choose to cook in your accommodation or dine at one of the many restaurants available at the top. The area feels like another world—calm, serene, and refreshing. You can breathe fresh air and escape mental stress. The best time to visit is from December to July. I'm still pinching myself!

I'm still pinching myself! The breathtaking views of the mountains, cool climate, fresh clean air and stunning scenery made for the perfect getaway. And…. I felt that this place was like heaven on earth to be honest...

I felt that this place was like heaven on earth to be honest!! So peaceful, nice weather (it rained a bit which was great!), green trees and bushes, trees that I have never seen before elsewhere, nice people with high morals, even the expatriates I feel took some from the morals of the locals. The houses and roads were all beautiful, well maintained and surrounded with gardens. The products we saw and got in the shops/festival such as olive oil, sidr, rose water/oil and skin products were a bonus. They are all organic and hand-made by the locals which I really loved.

I regularly go to Jabal Al Akdhar...the only issue is that...

I regularly go to Jabal Al Akdhar...the only issue is that facilities in the town have not imrpove over the years....I love the rustic feel of the mountain and hence I do not mind these lack of facilities.

GREAT FOR HIKING ABANDONED VILLAGES - The Green Mountain offers lots of easily accessible hiking as well as hiking for more experienced travellers. The area is a great starting point for day-hikes. Recommend avoiding the "Three villages" hike, as it seemed very crowded (with great views), and take some of the many many alternative hikes.

Jabal Al Akhdar is a breathtaking mountain destination in...

Jabal Al Akhdar is a breathtaking mountain destination in Oman, offering stunning views and cool mountain air, especially popular during the holidays. To reach the top, a 4WD vehicle is mandatory, as there’s a checkpoint at the base of the mountain to ensure this requirement is met. The drive up is scenic but demanding, so it's important to use the correct gears, monitor engine temperature, and take breaks if needed to avoid overheating. There are plenty of restaurants and cafes once you reach the top, making it a great place to relax and enjoy the surroundings. However, there are no petrol stations along the mountain road, so be sure to fuel up either at the base before starting the climb or at the top before heading back down
