The domes are very close to the Balcony Walk, which was great. The host was very helpful and the domes have everything you need! They make a little campfire for you if you want!

Stunning scenery and our stay was made by the amazing Ram who is the Nepali man who runs the place single handed. His endless smile, great simple food and hospitality makes this place what it is. I really hope the owner looks after and pays him well.. he never stops, tip him, I did , he makes this place a 10/10 Jim from New Zealand

The location was amazing as it is right at the beginning of the Balcony trail. Our host was very sincere, he was waiting for us and gave us a tour, made coffee and served dates. He had a lot of stories and history of the area to share which made the stay much more personable. His family were able to prepare a dinner for us that was delicious. We woke up to a beautiful sunrise. There is an outdoor kitchen that had all that you could need to prepare a meal. The heater worked great as it cooled off quite a bit at night. The rooms were comfortable and spacious.

What is this a hidden gem, even though I have looked through the photos on booking, I was still amazed by this house when we arrived here. It is literally at the beginning of the balcony walk so if you get up on time (we left at 7 a.m. with our two boys) then you have the walk completely to yourself. The house is amazing, very large kitchen with living room, two spacious bedrooms with comfortable beds. We bought our own food in Nizwa and made a nice dinner with salmon wraps and ate them outside by the fire place. We bought some wood from the people taking care of this house and made a fire and even bbq marshmallows. No wifi connection here but who would mind with such a beautiful view all around you. We played some board games and hanged out around the fire. House has plates, pots, cuttlery, cups and big refrigerator so comfortable enough to make your own dinner and breakfast and just enjoy the peace. It's maybe good to mention that we didn't have a 4x4 but my husband is an experienced driver and didn't have a problem driving up in our rental Hyundai car.

Great property with an amazing host Mr.Ali who assisted us throughout our stay at the Villa. Ali is a perfectionist and has a keen eye to detail which ensured everything was spotless and in place during our stay at his property. He is also extremely reliable in case you need to know anything about Al Hamra or about the Jebel shams Hikes. Fully Recommend staying here. I was especially recommend it, if you don't have a 4WD like us, since this property is very accessible even with a regular car and has great roads leading upto it.

Amazing view on the canyon and a very private location to enjoy this beautiful scenery. Said was also providing a lot of good infos on what to do and places to go. Ram was cooking nice breakfast and dinner and was always very welcoming. I can recommend this place to all nature lovers!

We arrived in the evening when it was already dark outside but Omran really did his best by contacting us on Whatsapp and helping us find the house. Very nice stay close to the mountains, so it's perfect for those who want to be close to the hiking spots. Its a big house so we didn't realize this when we were booking but its also perfect to book with friends or with family. Overall great stay and I recommend!

It is advisable to use a 4WD vehicle to get to this point...

It is advisable to use a 4WD vehicle to get to this point but skilled drivers may still be able to get there with a 2WD vehicle. The community in the area are peaceful, modest, and straight forward hence as the visitors, it is advised to honor their culture. Kindly do not litter in this area, as it is inhabited by various population of goats and looking after nature is important here.

We stayed for one night.

We stayed for one night. Splendid location and awesome host Mohammed. He took care everything we need for a pleasant stay. There is already a pit for barbq. I would recommend strongly as compared to any other property in Jabel shams. Rooms were very clean. Kitchen is fully equipped. Wish to stay there for much longer time in future.
