Very special accommodation awaited us here, namely the Koofan Heritage House. This is a 150-year-old clay and stone house that has been carefully restored by the owner family. In the individual rooms, you will find numerous original artefacts and pieces of furniture belonging to the family from earlier times, which are beautifully displayed here. The house has 12 individually furnished rooms, a small souvenir shop, a café, a tour desk and a small museum. But the whole house is actually a kind of "open-air museum". While most visitors only come for the museum (admission 1 rial), we definitely recommend at least one overnight stay. A small, traditional breakfast is served in the morning. The staff are incredibly friendly and go out of their way to provide guests with an exceptional experience. The accommodation is just 25 minutes from Wadi Darbat and only 5 minutes from the sea. Exceptional location with a balcony facing the sea a few hundred m away. Schools of dolphins were regularly fishing and playing close to shore, and the beach and over the sea was full of seabirds of numerous species including huge numbers of the local sooty gull. The host was extremely welcoming and supportative both in the planning process and during our stay. Highly recommendable!
