The best location for turtle watching. The accomodation organized very good turtle watching tours in the evening and also in the early morning which were included in the price. Easy check-in and check-out. Friendly staff. Very good breakfast. The room with bathroom was not too big for 4 persons, but acceptable. Clean room and bathroom.

What is the to say other then Price/quality: very good . Sea view: magnificent We used it as a transit hotel from Wahiba Sands (via Wadi al khalid) to Wadi Shab and served its purpose perfectly. Right next to the road (didn't hear car noise btw perhaps as we had sea view). Spacious room. A restaurant neighbouring the hotel was good (and very affordable as well). Don't expect a 5 star hotel (duh because it isn't). Breakfast is good (considering the price once again). We can absolutely recommend this for the price.

Sur was a nice surprise.

Sur was a nice surprise. We were planning on going to the sea turtles reserve in Ras Al Jinz, but it was not the season, so we ended up in Sur instead. Thea beach is very nice as well as the souq. We had nice breakfast at Sahari Restaurant and hiked up to the tower next to it to see the views over the town. We visited the light house and the dhow factory.

Excellent location.

Excellent location. But I would suggest that you allocate a separate place away from the hotel rooms for the scrap items as otherwise it invites snakes and scorpions to the rooms. Also recommend a Table Fan at the food lobby.

It a quiet port town. It a beautiful little white town. However, compared to the world's famous tourist destinations, it will be a little inferior. But if you travel in Oman, it would be a good candidate.

Only best place to book is Ra's al jinz resort to see...

Only best place to book is Ra's al jinz resort to see turtles laying eggs. Walk from the resort to the nesting beach is around 1.5 km wear comfortable shoes. Nothing else to do except turtle watch. Avoid the turtle museum on second floor it's not at all maintained and charges 2 RO ( 5 USD) not worth. Book tents they are good and gives you a camping feeling with comfort of a room.

Small town - not a huge amount to do here, we went for a walk along the beach, looked at the lighthouse, and ate at Zaki restaurant (try the butter chicken). We mainly stayed there to break up the journey between the Bimmah Sinkhole (beautiful and definitely worth a visit!), and Wahiba sands. Wouldn't stay here for longer than one night!

We have stayed one night at Ras Al Jinz. Correct hotel at the end of the road. We cannot go further. We had a family room with neverseen double bunker beds. Thanks to our stay at the hotel, we were able to go to the 2 turtle sessions at 9PM (a bit crowded) and 5AM. The hotel is very pricy but it is worth it to be first in line for the turtle session. There is a restaurant in the hotel but seems very expensive compared to Oman' standards.

Good location to visit wadis and the beaches nearby. The room was big enough with comfortable bed. The staff was very nice, hospitable and helpful. Offer of Omani coffee and dates was really nice. There are three restaurants only a few minutes walking distance that serve tasty breakfast, lunch and dinner. We would come here again.

Great place to stay in Sur. It’s cheaper than similar hotels. Right next door is Best Western which has a good restaurant where we had diner. The Arkan Al Barzah hotel staff were very friendly and hospitable. We had a two room apartment which was very large. We also enjoyed a refreshing swim in the pool.

We had a great experience at this hotel. The staff was incredibly helpful and welcoming us later than official check-in time. As a pleasant surprise, one of our rooms was upgraded to a larger one. We truly appreciated the excellent service and hospitality.
