Wow, what an amazing hotel right in front of the ocean. The view from our room (small double room) and from the pool was stunnig, you could overlook the ocean. The hotel and the pool are perfect for relaxing. The garden of the hotel felt like paradise, a lot of plants and there are also monkeys in the trees and a lot of colibris. And last but not least: the owners are so friendly and helpful. The host drove us und our baggage to the marina the next day, thank you for that! We were super sad that we could only stay one night and would have loved to stay longer!

The staff, including the owners, were exceptionally kind, friendly and accommodating. My friend needed a fridge for his medication and it was provided immediately. The food was freshly prepared and delicious. The location by the water was quiet. peaceful and breezy and plus it wasn't too far from Portobello proper.

A pleasant stay in the middle of lush greenery with a view of the Caribbean Sea, a true little paradise. Warm and very helpful welcome. Many tips on activities to do in the surroundings and even recommendations for places/restaurants in Panama City. My last words will be for the catering, delicious and colorful, a real pleasure. We traveleld with two 85+ seniors. The team was fantastic in accomodating them (at the restaurant they even went the extra mile by preparing an off menu salt free soup every night!!!). The room was comfortable and they enjoyed it by themselves. The breakfast selection and menus are great and in general the food is excellent. We booked for three nights and ended up staying six. We did not want to leave our parents alone so we did not take the boats to the beaches, but after asking Eddie at the restaurant about quiet beaches we could go with seniors, not only he gave us detailed instructions, but also all of them were top recommendations and a short drive (from 15' to 45') from the hotel. NOTE: They are not advertised... they are just the beaches local familes use. The hidden one at Cacique (just a 300m walk through the woods) has nothing to envy to any top beach. Simply fantastic. Thank you for sharing. As a bonus, spending the evening with a cold one at the dock was a great way to end each day.

If you're planning to visit Panama and love the jungle, nature, and wildlife, this place is a must-see! Vista Caribe is located in the heart of the jungle, where you can hear the incredible sounds of nature, including monkeys, frogs, and lizards. The rooms are very clean, and you have a stunning view of the Caribbean Sea. The pool area is peaceful and beautiful. The owners, Frank and his wife, go out of their way to show you the surrounding wildlife, and they prepare fresh, delicious food. The people in the area are warm and kind, and they can even give you a ride to the shop or a nearby restaurant. I highly recommend this small hotel!!

The staff was super friendly and attentive, especially Iris. She was always willing to make my stay the best and always gave me useful tips about the town and things to do in it with a contagious positive vibe. The back porch was incredible. It was 15-20 steps away from the seashore. They had a shared kitchen with everything you need to prepare your own meals if needed.
