Amazing hotel, just at the river, good food, very sweet and serviceminded staff they all took very good care of us, was always there with a smile if you needed anything. The rooms, the garden, the restaurant are all pleasent. The tour company they work with are very good and professionel, we had the guide Manuel and meet all our expectations and went beyond to find the animals for us.

The food including breakfast, lunch and dinner was excellent. The guides at the property are extremely knowledgeable and professional. Nothing is too much for the staff and they will help you in any way they can. The lodge is great for bird watching, the many excursions on offer are really worth doing, the Lake Sandoval was our favourite.

Great place to chill for a few days. All rooms are equpipped with fan and AC and private bathroom and fridge. Clean place all over. Theres a bar, a beautiful pool and the host is fantastic and very friendly. Even took us out to buy some food anf other stuff. Helped us with everything. This place wilk make you chill out. Its worth it. There is harldy anything bad we can mention.

The property has two individual bungalows that are very spacious, with high ceilings, good bathroom and fly screens all around the windows. Nicolas is absolutely wonderful, very kind, very friendly and very respectful. He can organise daily tours, they were excellent. The tours were with small groups (less than 8 pax). Nicolas cooked very tasty meals. The property is located away from town, which means you have lovely nature around you, but Nicolas was very helpful in driving us to places we needed. The bungalows had a balcony, wifi and hot showers. The two dogs that live there are truly beautiful, we miss their cuddles already. Nicolas helped us find birds and a sloth nearby. There are squirrel monkeys nearby. The property is located near other resorts if you need a pool or river access. We enjoyed this property for its local community and wildlife, its excellent value for a small business. My only recommendation would be to have a tea/coffee making facilities available all day, and a large shower mat to catch excess water.

Raffael and Alex will ensure you are looked after and have everything you need, whilst Carmen will cook you amazing breakfast, lunch and dinners that are local oriented using fruits and vegetables from their land and local markets. 2 minutes walk from the main plaza and all the tour offices. 5 mins walk from the Cacao Center. Absolutely clean rooms and bathrooms (rare in budget hotels in Peru!). The a/c is really welcome in Puerto as the humidity is debilitating. Friendly staff, several of whom speak English. Focus on sustainability. Huge TVs in the rooms with what looks like a cable box connected, though I didn't try mine. Strong, hot showers and good drainage. Comfortable beds and pillows. I stayed in 3 different rooms on different stays, and it seems they are adding more little amenities, like de-humidifier machine, towel racks in the bathroom, etc room by room. The lower floor rooms have them, but the top floor doesn't yet. I would still choose this hotel over any other in Puerto.
