We only stayed for one night, but we wished we could stay longer. The resort is straight at the beach where you can swim and snorkel. The staff is very lovely and they organise a lot for the guests, like dancing, cinema, etc. Would definitely recommend!

The rooms was spacious and very clean. Comfortable bed and a luxurious feeling. The staff was also really kind and helpful. The perfect place if you want to avoid too much tourists. It’s also possible to walk to nearby beaches as Mariposa beach and Dagmay beach which is really beautiful places. There is also motorbike rental nearby. I was traveling alone and felt very safe there :)

They have the best rooms on the island probably, we’ve stayed at other 5 expensive hotels before yet East Wind have air con and fan, warm water, internet and electricity all the time, it was the most comfortable room for our 1 year old son. They have a pool and playground and the sea is very shallow, good for children. The hosts are very, very helpful and pleasant to be around with. All round exceptional. This is the best hotel I've been to (and I've travelled a lot) if you want an off grid holiday somewhere peaceful, on a beautiful beach, super friendly team and owners. If you have a good book and like the ocean, you'll be happy here for days. There is intermittent cell signal (but strong signal with both smart and globe five mins up the beach). Starlink for much of the day. Battery powered fans and lights in the bedroom. Generator (not noisy) during day for charging devices and battery packs. You can absolutely remote work here. I loved how friendly the other guests were. It meant I could dip in and out of hanging in the cafe and reading my book or chatting to them and the owners. Very safe, with owners sleeping on site plus overnight security. Top tip, chat to owners before you book about what you want to get up to. They are amazing and will give you a frank answer about whats possible/realistic. Ultimately this isn't a five star all inclusive resort - it's a bit bouncy to get to and you don't have air con etc. But gosh it's amazing. I wish I'd stayed longer.

We had the best time ever at playa Encantada, the staff went above and beyond to ensure we had a great stay. We took a day trip to Darocotan Island from the resort for 2,000 php, this is definitely worth doing as the sea is crystal clear and there is a ship wreck you can snorkel around. The food served at the resort was amazing and reasonably priced. My partner is fussy but there were 3 or 4 different options including a meat dish, we loved every meal we had. The sunsets at the resort were out of this world. For one day we hired a moped for 700php from the resort and drove into el nido, this was a long trip but we managed fine on our first go on a moped. We weren’t expecting any wifi at all with the remote location, however we managed to get some in our bungalow which was an added bonus.
