A very interesting fortified church from the 13th century, with a well inside (unique), beautifully preserved medieval defensive walls with half-timbered towers and beautiful gates (each one different), a beautiful town hall and tenement houses on the Market Square (some of them undergoing revitalization), nice cafes, several places to eat tasty and inexpensive meals.

In addition to the attractions in Paczków (gas museum, vineyard, automotive museum, historical buildings), the town is an excellent base for trips to nearby towns such as Otmuchów, Nysa or Ząbkowice, Kamieniec Ząbkowicki, Złoty Stok or Kłodzko in Lower Silesia.

A town with an interesting history and interesting places to...

A town with an interesting history and interesting places to visit. I recommend the Gas Museum and the observation deck at the town hall tower. The preserved defensive walls are impressive. Delicious coffee at Czarna Kawka. Unfortunately, there wasn't enough time for everything; I was on a bicycle trip and had to move on.

Paczkow is a quiet town.

Paczkow is a quiet town. Nearby there are walks both around the city and a short walk into nature. For example, Zalew Paczkowski. Lots of grocery stores nearby. Great cafe Czarna Kawka. I recommend going for an ice cream sundae.

The city center is very nice.

The city center is very nice. I recommend the Černá kavka cafe or Paczkaren (excellent donuts). Paczków also has a nice swimming pool and beautiful walks around the lakes. Here you can run, walk or cycle up to 20 km. From Paczków I recommend going to the Zloty Stok mine, Klodzka (fortress and city center) and to Nysa (city center) and a beautiful beach by the sea at Lake Nysa.

The city was undoubtedly once beautiful.

The city was undoubtedly once beautiful. Wonderful architecture and a wealth of historical monuments, unfortunately all neglected. It's not yet in ruins, but it could use a better manager, especially since the city felt deserted on a Saturday afternoon. It's an excellent base for exploring the surrounding area.
