FAQs about hotels in Warsaw

Always on the Move

A city on the move, Warsaw is constantly changing in an effort to rebuild what was lost during World War Two. There’s no better example of this than the stunning Old Town Square, where pastel facades sit alongside dome-topped spires.

Starting here is the Royal Route which passes several historic buildings on its way out to Wilanów, where an ornate Royal Palace is set in a huge park that was the retreat of kings since the 17th century. Just as grandiose is the Palace of Culture and Science, Stalin’s gift to Warsaw that still manages to evoke feelings of hatred and love in equal measure. Go up to the terrace for panoramic city views.

Other cultural offerings are the Warsaw Uprising Museum, considered the best museum in Poland, and traditional bars that still serve down-to-earth food washed down with a shot of vodka - a throwback to the Communist era. Don’t expect to find a seat though – there aren’t any.

Warsaw also has a thriving club scene and more shopping centres than you could throw a stick at. Not that you’d want to, as you’ll be too busy picking up the bargains.

Just outside the city is Warsaw Airport, efficiently linked by public transport to the city’s hotels, guest houses and hostels, available on Booking.com.

Warsaw is wonderful.

Warsaw is wonderful. One old square feeds into a second square with wonderful things to enjoy, churches, shops, restaurants, along the way. Our visit to the museum on the square was too short due to schedule. We could have spent another hour or so. So much history - and to think much of what one sees is detailed restoration after WWII. The buildings are magnificently restored. The additional museums are wonderful. There is a lot to see and experience in Warsaw. We have already planned a return trip next April.

I love Warsaw having visited many times.

I love Warsaw having visited many times. Unfortunately on this occasion our cousins were ill so we were unable to visit them - hence the stay was slightly too long. The old town is lovely - if a bit touristy. Our favourite restaurant, Freta 33, on Ul. Freta was still wonderful, and we found a new spot for lunch, Karmnik, on Ul. Pivna. As always, Polish people were lovely and helpful, and guided us onto the right buses/ trams when we got a bit lost near Brodnowski Cemetery.

Beautiful chill out city. Clean and safe.

Beautiful chill out city. Clean and safe. You can walk everywhere. Old Town Square is beautiful and the Chopin concerts you can get anywhere are a must-go. Lots of cozy cafes to read a book and chill out after walking through the streets of the city. St Anne´s Church is wonderful.

Warsaw is a great place to visit for 2 or 3 days max, any longer and I'd recommend you to visit Krakow or Gdansk. The old town 'Stare Miasto' is a must although you can do that in an afternoon / evening. There's also a big shopping mall called 'Zlote Terasy'. There's also a big tower called 'Palac Kultury' which is interesting if you want to delve into Polish history in the 1950s. If you want to go somewhere home from home there is the British Bulldog Pub and quite a few Irish bars. There are also lots of hidden gems you can discover like a museum all about the cold war or about the Polish uprising. If you stay somewhere between the old town and Palac Kultury most of the places of interest will be within walking distance.

I really enjoyed my time in Warsaw!

I really enjoyed my time in Warsaw! It’s a modern city with plenty of cozy coffee shops, easy touchless payments everywhere, and friendly, helpful people who often speak different languages. Getting around is simple — taxis are easily accessible through apps, and the public transportation system is excellent. During rush hours, public transport is actually more effective than taking a taxi.

The location of Hotel Indigo is brilliant for sightseeing the old town. The building itself is beautiful outside and inside in the lobby area / bar area. The restaurant is fabulous definitely one of the best i have had. It is not self service, a menu is provided and it is absolutely of 5 star rating. We ate dinner 2 nights in the hotel also and the evening menu is really good. Plenty of options and the food is really really nice. Definitely worth having breakfast and dinner in the hotel

Hotel is in good location. There is a good grren area there. About 25 minites to the Old Warsaw. Lots of restaurants on the way to the Old Town and amazing library. You need keep in mind that it's a star hotel so do not expect smth extraodinary. The staff is very friendly. However, they messed our breakfast boxes and prepared two with hams. We checked only at the airport. The paper on them said that one was with cheese but both were with ham and my colleague couldn't eat it.

The hotel is superb. We were actually surprised that it was more luxurious than we expected. The breakfast was rich and nice. The restaurant and bar area are very good if you don't want to go out. Otherwise, it's close to all the attractions and the old town. A walking distance, although we came by car, so we drove everywhere. The parking is right under the building so very convenient. I would definitely come back to the same hotel when visiting Warsaw.

This one of the best hotels to stay in when in Warsaw. The customer service is 5 star all the way, as it’s been for many years. The location is unbeatable, and you are made feel welcome be it 11am in the morning or 5am when you come back to the hotel after a good night out. Everyone is very well looked after for. The room service attendants do a fantastic job too. A really superb hotel to stay in when in Warsaw. See you soon again.
