Vibrant Mix of Culture and History

Stretched along the Oder River in south-west Poland, Wroclaw still remains a relatively undiscovered gem. The city’s stunning architecture, its vibrant cultural scene and popular events have something for everyone.

Severely destroyed in 1945, Wroclaw was beautifully restored and became one of the country’s highlights. Its Old Town, with one of the largest town squares in Europe, attracts tourists with colourful town houses, cosy pubs and street stalls.

Make sure to visit the Ostrow Tumski, known also as the Cathedral Island, featuring the impressive Wroclaw Cathedral from the mid-10th century and romantic cobble-stoned streets with oil lamps hand-lit every night. Alternatively, see a famous 360-degree view painting of the Battle of Raclawice - the Raclawice Panorama.

For a breath of fresh air, take a walk in the Szczytnicki Park where the famous Japanese Garden, a remainder from the World Expo held in Wroclaw in 1913, awaits you with its contemplative and quiet atmosphere. This is a great spot to relax before hitting the popular bars and clubs in the city centre.

If you arrive at Wroclaw International Airport, all major attractions are just a short bus ride away. Whether you're looking for a stylish hotel, a comfortable apartment or a friendly hostel, Booking.com has something perfect for your Wroclaw holiday!

It's a beautiful city with a rich history.

It's a beautiful city with a rich history. It feels very safe and the Poles are welcoming. Good people. A night in a small bar car be highly entertaining, even if you're alone! As a tourist, there are lots of fascinating things to see. The Capitol Musical Theatre is extraordinary, too. It's well worth seeing something there.

Huge Christmas Market selling all sorts of stuff.

Huge Christmas Market selling all sorts of stuff. Very easy to walk around and also very safe. Only 35 zloty for a Bolt to the airport (which is very easy to get in and out of). Very clean everywhere we went. People are very friendly. We will definitely return and highly recommend it.

Just right for a couple of nights, and transport links are excellent, so you could use the city as a base to explore surrounding towns. Lots of choice for food and drink, and we happened upon a food festival by the river. The atmosphere was excellent, very laid back. The university botanical gardens are a must, very impressive. If you can, climb the church towers, the views are amazing. Centennial Hall fountains are a must, music lights and dancing water jets on the lake are performed throughout the day, night and all year round, superb. Vinyl Cafe, for a very chilled atmosphere, coffee, and music from their vast record collection, we went every day! We travelled on the trams a lot, so cheap. One single journey is approx £1 anywhere. Really good value city. Recommended!!

Very beautiful city with wonderful buildings.

Very beautiful city with wonderful buildings. Don't forget to enter the University Museum, go to the Japanese Gardens and the island Ostrow Tumski connected by bridges. Transportation is very easy by tram and buses. If you stay close to the center the old town is very close on foot.

wroclaw is very difficult to drive by a car, very cold typical "all german bricks" and post communist architecture but do not forget that city was completely destroyed during II world war. It is beautifully located on many canals. Ostrów Tumski is very romantic.

A perfect overnight stay near the Old Town of Wroclaw/Breslau. Very calm and quiet area from where we could reach all interesting sites within 15-25 minutes by foot. The hotel shows an interesting architecture in a restructiored old building. Breakfast offered a large variety of meals, fresh and a la minute omelettes, pan cakes, salads etc. Staff organized VIP-style taxi to the railway station and helped in every way.

Amazing hotel in the centre, close to the Old Town. The hotel is very modern and has everything you need in the room. The staff were very helpful and polite. Make sure to check out the seating area on the top floor in good weather to see the city's sights and the relaxing loungers in the spa section. Highly recommend a lovely Ceres drink at the craft bar brought to you in a perfume bottle 🥰

Lovely modern Spa Hotel. The room was huge and the bed comfy. We were on the top floor and had excellent views over the river. Great value for money and only a 2 minute walk to the main square of the old town. Nothing. Tea and coffee are provided but not milk so worth grabbing some from the supermarket. The room has a fridge.
