I spent one week on San Miguel in this guesthouse. The guesthouse is a typical portuguese house that has a soul. I personally prefer such places more than standard hotels. The place is quiet, in the morning you can hear bird’s. There’s a shared bathroom, only one time I had to wait 5 minutes as another guest was taking a shower. I have only positive impressions from this guesthouse. If you have a rented car, I can definitely recommend it. Really good value for your money.

We stayed in Achada for a week. The small village has a handy supermarket and ATM. It was a great base to explore the north and south east, but you definitely need a car in this area. Cute villages all round and awesome road and hiking trails nearby

A quiet, somewhat isolated village; having a car is best for...

A quiet, somewhat isolated village; having a car is best for exploring the surrounding area. Friendly locals. A scooter provides easy access to several sites worth discovering: waterfalls, wooded parks, hiking trails, and natural pools. Restaurants in Achadinha; reservations recommended.

I didn't like it because I didn't get to use the service I...

I didn't like it because I didn't get to use the service I paid for... I feel cheated, I bought one service and received another because I didn't even get to enter the house where I booked the room, as they tried to put me in another house... Therefore, I didn't get to use the service. I'm very sad and feel cheated by the misleading advertising...
