I like the view of the garden and the mountain. The room was clean and has a timeless design, an eye for detail. Very friendly staff and relaxed location. A great way to enjoy the view was by sitting on the balcony.

The property must be one of the cleanest I've ever seen, every corner is immaculate. The serenity of the location makes it very peaceful. Nice to have access to a kettle, fridge, etc. Lots of seating and recliners provided outside so you can take in the view. They even have an electric vehicle charging point.

The house is so cosy and comfy and had everything you need for a lovely stay. The fire is amazing, it had been lit for our arrival and there was plenty of fire wood. The village is beautiful and the hosts are really kind and friendly. A perfect short trip to relax and unwind.

Strangely the suspension bridge which is probably meant as a tourist attraction is quite challenging to find and visit. One needs an online registration to visit, but even to find/access it is a challenge on its own. Seems that no all locals are happy with that tourist attraction :)

Went to Arouca soley for the suspension bridge and Paiva walkways hike. Our acccomodation was very pleasant located behind the main and quiet and private looking onto the garden. All was very tasteful and comfortable inside our small "studio".

The 516 Arouca bridge draw our attention but the...

The 516 Arouca bridge draw our attention but the breathtaking views made us fall in love with the place. The river, the waterfall, the rocks and the cork oaks. Swim in the river at the parking was amazing. Please know that you should arrive 40 or 20 minutes before the time listed on your ticket, maybe even earlier - they will not tell you that and then it is your fault that you missed your guided walk on the amazing bridge.

Arouca is an interesting town with great scenery on the doorstep. It is a good base from which to explore the geopark and to do the 516 suspension bridge experience. Local restaurants and bars are very good value and there is a genuine feel about the place that this is the real Portugal.

Great pleasant town to use as a base for surprising variety of walks or swims or river activities in the area. In this area trails are marked out very well for off-road walks with great views and through lovely hamlets. The town itself also houses a variety of museums, supermarkets, shops, and places to drink and eat local treats.

I went for the 516 bridge and for the river board walk.

I went for the 516 bridge and for the river board walk. Both met my expectations. However, both the bridge and the board walk are very difficult to find, specially the bridge. I understand that it is protected landscape and they cannot simply build a new road. But at least they could improve the signs on the roads - I found the bridge by mere chance and luck and almost missed the assigned time scheduling - and it is very stressful and frustrating to look for the entrance to those two things. I know this is a common problem on this country (lack of proper signs on the roads seems to be a cultural point of honor, just like cod fish dishes), but enough is enough. The stress and frustration of looking for the places can easily ruin the experience and no one wants that. GPS may not be as helpful as one might think on non-urban environment. New tourists: be advised for this and allocate enough time in your timetable for searching and arrival for this two attractions.

Casa do Pinto is ideally located in the serra de Arouca, conveniently close to the passadiços and several praias fluviais. It has a large pleasant garden offering enough shade to enjoy it even when it's very hot. And the swimming pool makes it all the better! Inside, there are plenty if rooms and plenty of bathrooms, ideal for a large group like ours. The inside is also cool during the warm summer days, so we could rest in the coolness when needed. The owners were very available and answered all our needs

Beautiful place, even nicer than the pictures really, very clean and comfortable! We were there in early March and had the whole place to ourselves - the common areas were lovely and we spent the evenings in front of the cozy fire. Its a great location to explore the Arouca Geopark, you can reach everything easily by car and the landscape is beautiful! 10/10 would recommend and come back for sure :)

Loved the pool area with the plum trees and the spatious rooms of the house. Great nature activities in the area and the lovely town of Arouca was very close for grocery shopping and restaurants. A car is a must.
