What a magical place! We stayed at Casa Garcia during a weekend in August. The house is run with love and respect for family heritage. Attention to the smallest details and guest comfort can be felt at every step. Casa Garcia offers incredibly comfortable and stylish interiors decorated in the finest style. The owners are wonderful and provide unforgettable hospitality. Beautiful and peaceful apartments, comfortable beds, spacious and well-equipped kitchen – what more could one ask for. I am absolutely delighted with our stay in this magical and enchanting home.

Beautiful setting, such kind people, delicious food, comfortable room, amazing walks (occasionally accompanied by the very friendly dogs!), total peace and quiet. A very enjoyable visit in an area with so much history. The castle is fabulous.

Everything was amazing. We were 6 people and 2 dogs. > So much space inside the house, but specially, outside! It's enormous > You have everything you need in there > Internet is AMAZING taking in consideration this is really in the middle of nowhere (we had one person working from home for 2 days, and never failed) > The river, the view, the silence... there are things that you feel the money can't buy, and this are some of them

We loved the tranquility of country side walks and bike rides. The landscape, the starry sky and the animals. The food and wine are very good and the staff is friendly. It was great having so many available mountains bikes, that made our trip a lot more fun.

Barrancos is a village with very welcoming and friendly people, so it's worth a visit; however, if you're staying for a few days, it's advisable not to stay in Noudar Nature Park.

There's an Alentejo that Portugal has forgotten... and there's an Alentejo that seems like even Alentejo has forgotten! The perfect place to switch off, disconnect, appreciate nature and the simple things in life. Here, it even feels like your heart beats slower.

Barrancos is unique; it's a border town with a unique character. They speak three languages: Portuguese, Barranqueño (a mix of Portuguese and Castilian), and a charming Andalusian-accented Spanish. For years it has lived forgotten in that remote corner, creating that unique blend that represents a truly singular mix.

Barrancos is a small village with little to see.

Barrancos is a small village with little to see. But what captivated us was the nature that surrounds it. Immense green spaces, countless animals, restaurants with typical food and regional wines. Without a doubt, it's a great place to escape the hustle and bustle of the cities and, given the current pandemic situation, a fantastic destination free from crowds.
