We absolutely loved our stay at Leiras do Tempo Cottages! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed by Henrique, the co-owner of the lodging. He explained everything clearly and accompanied us to our cottage. The cottage was beautiful, clean, comfortable and had all the necessary amenities. It is located in a paradise-like setting surrounded by beautiful mountains and the views were breathtaking. The staff is also very friendly and kind. Helena, the other co-owner, was wonderful too. She baked us a cake for our 33rd wedding anniversary! Finally, the food was excellent- the breakfast was abundant with home-made jams with locally sourced fruits, fresh home-made cheese and wonderful juices. The home-made cake on Sunday was equally delicious! We had dinner at the restaurant on site (O Abocanhado) and we highly recommend it. We had a peaceful and wonderful stay at Leiras do Tempo Cottages. It is the perfect location to rest and to explore the National Park of the Gerês.

We stayed at this hotel yesterday and we highly recommend it. The hotel is located next to the Panda Gersh Reserve, the view and surroundings are all beautiful green nature, the room is large and clean, the hotel owners are charming and helpful people who provide a warm family-friendly atmosphere. We will not forget the rich breakfast that also included french products, made by the owner. . It is highly recommended to stay and enjoy this excellent hotel.

Very easy to find the location. The owner and her family were very welcoming and friendly. The house is surrounded by a small patch of orange and lemon trees. We were allowed to pick as many as we wished. Can imagine how nice it would be to have a BBQ here. The house gets warm quickly after the fireplace is lit, the ventilation system is excellent and there is no smoke in the house. We loved that small skylight in the upstairs bedroom. When you lie in the dark on a rainy day, a small part of the wall becomes a sheet of light with water flowing through it. Wonderful experience. If you read until here. There's a big difference between the restaurants in town. Stay away from the Casa Capela, the food is not eatable in my opinion. Lurdes Capela is a much better one at approximately the same price.
