Higly reccomend. The place is tranquil. View form terrace is anbsolutely stunning (think photos don't reflect the view) with gentle sound of flowing water and crickets. Garden is full of hidden places to relaks. Place is super clean and functional, thought out down to the smallest details (eg. mosquito nets, shower, places to sit and relaks, beutiful garden). Kitchenette was the best we had so far- wide variety and good quality. Plus hosts are nice and helpful. It is 20-30 min to passadicos do paiva and arouca bridge.

Excellent location to arouca Bridge. We were looked after so well by Sandra and Anna and they were so welcoming and attentive. The place was spotless and the breakfast was excellent with lots of variety. We also really enjoyed the pool and the views are amazing.

The views from the hotel rooms are absolutely breathtaking, nestled in a valley between two hillsides. The lush vegetation and the soothing sound of the nearby river create a wonderfully relaxing ambiance, perfect for rejuvenating your energy. On hot summer days, the hotel provides a refreshing saltwater pool for guests to cool off. For those seeking a more "natural" experience, the nearby Paiva river is just a short five-minute walk away and offers an excellent spot for a swim. While the hotel does not have an on-site restaurant, they do offer a convenient "home delivery" service, allowing guests to order typical Portuguese cuisine dishes from a nearby restaurant and have them delivered right to their doorsteps. The breakfast served at the hotel is a delightful representation of Portuguese cuisine, featuring sweet pastries, yogurt, cheese & ham, as well as bread, coffee, and tea. Personally, I found it to be tasty and delicious.

Our stay at the cabin was absolutely perfect! The place was spotless, beautifully maintained, and had everything we needed for a relaxing and comfortable stay. The view was absolutely breathtaking — waking up to that scenery was a dream. The host was incredibly kind and responsive, answering all our questions and helping us quickly and kindly when we had any issues or needed assistance. You can really feel the love and thought that was put into every detail of this place. We left feeling refreshed and grateful, and we would absolutely love to come back again. Highly recommended!

Great location. We walked the Arouca bridge and Paiva walkways which are only 20 minutes drive from the property. Google got us to the property on some narrow windy roads, be prepared! The property has been expertly renovated by the family and is very comfortable. The owners met us on arrival and are both friendly and helpful. Highly recommended .

Casa do Soutinho is a beautiful place to stay. Everything about it is 5 stars. Our room had the view of the suspension bridge. It was clean, large, and modern room with a/c. There were 2 packages of local cookies for each of us plus 2 apples! The king size bed and pillows were so comfortable. The grounds were beautiful with a lovely pool to relax. The breakfast was delicious. Luisa asked when we wanted to have breakfast and she had it all ready. It was a lovely spread. Location was perfect for either the walkways or the suspension bridge. Luisa also recommended a nearby restaurant for dinner. By the way, that was fabulous too. I did have a problem with the church bell ringing on the hour. I started hearing it at 4am. Normally, I can sleep thru that. Husband did not have a problem. I would still stay again.

A haven of peace and tranquility. The rooms are very comfortable and everything is very clean and tidy. The lady owner was very nice and had even baked a cake for us on arrival. The property also has a balcony with fabulous views. It is in the perfect location for visiting the Arouca 516 suspension bridge. Would not hesitate to return.

This is a very rural location offering a great driving...

This is a very rural location offering a great driving experience across the area. Be prepared for hairpin bends and narrow roads. We were passing through Cabril for one night only so shopped in the local village supermarket at Mosteiro de Cabril for our evening meal provisions. We did not seek out places to eat but noticed a cafe/bar next to the supermarket plus one other as we entered this small village. Just 30 minutes drive away...don't miss a walk along the Arouca Suspension Bridge plus the 8km walk along a walkway which hugs the Paiva River. You must book in advance. Following your walk, Porto is just a 90minute drive away.
