Wow what a find! The guesthouse was exceptional and the host and winemaster warm and inviting. We're so happy to have found this accommodation on a wine farm which exceeded all expectations. We tasted the winemaster's 2020 Port, enjoyed walks in the vineyards and thankfully booked more than one night so we could enjoy the swimming pool and the views of the mountain and vines. In a village dating back to the 17th century but walking into the house with modern flair and completely renovated - an architects dream, was all the more surprising. Such excellent finishes and taste. Congrats Luigi. You have a winner here.

The location was easy to get to, and the property was absolutely perfect for our needs of relaxation and rejuvenation! A beautiful pool and surrounding area was so enjoyable. The breakfast couldn’t be B as they had stopped the refrigerator and cupboards for us.

Everything! From the excellent and detailed wine tasting, the views of the property, the infinity swimming pool with sunset view, the dinner and breakfast service, the painting with wine in their little garden, it was all beyond perfect. Highly recommend Ventozelo hotel and quinta for the best Duoro experience!! Perfect for couples and small groups. We couldn't hike as we were tired but this property has multiple mapped hikes which one can do as an activity.

We had a lovely stay, unfortunately only one night. It was beautifully quiet, there is a perfectly clean pool and a nice breakfast buffet on the terrace overlooking the Douro, couldn't ask for more! Thanks a lot

A small town far from the tourist centers.

A small town far from the tourist centers. Typical restaurants, tucked away in the back rooms of café terraces, are very inexpensive and offer a pleasant and warm welcome. There are few organized tourist activities or events. Ideal for those who want to immerse themselves in rural Portugal and relax. A stopover town not too far from Pinhão.

It's a central location for visiting the area.

It's a central location for visiting the area. The roads are in good condition, although some sections have quite a few curves, but the scenery makes you forget about them. A must-see is Carrazeda Castle, and the viewpoints throughout the area are also worth a visit. There's a good selection of restaurants; "Taberna da Helena" deserves a special mention.

Visit various viewpoints overlooking the Tua River in...

Visit various viewpoints overlooking the Tua River in several parishes. A visit to the walled town of Ansiães (8 kilometers from Carrazeda) is recommended. During a difficult period (week of August 15th), with many festivals and events, it was very difficult to find restaurants for lunch and dinner.
