My grandparents live in a tiny village 6km away, so I'm *very* familiar with Coja and I didn't expect, at all, to find such a cozy and well done place here. The house was fully renovated in a way that merges the old stone frame with modern concepts, making it rustic but still cozy and - most importantly - clean. Good windows for light but also insulation, minimalistic rooms, but lovely shared area. The breakfast was fenomenal. The backyard is lovely. It was too cold for the pool, but I'm sure it would have been perfect as well. I'm 100% staying here every time I come to visit the family.

Exceptional place. The boutique house renovated into a little family hotel. The attitude of the owners: "our home - your home" was so so welcoming and warm. A cute little place with every facility... I cooked on the induction hob and in the oven, lit the log burner and used the washing machine. The bed was the best thing! It was comfortable with cosy fleece sheets as the nights could be a little bit chill. The electric shower was great with plenty of hot water. The walk into the nearby town of Coja via the ribeiro was my daily meditation. Although it had rustic features, this place was immaculately finished with modern details. Perfect!

Vila Alva is a beautifully refurbished traditional house close to the centre of Coja village. The rooms are large and spotless and the owner was very accommodating and responsive to our needs. The breakfast provided was extremely generous and very tasty. You could not of wanted for more.
