Every detail has been thought about from the guest perspective. it felt like an escape and home at the same time. The staff are ALL warm and welcoming, they know and remember your name and are always eager to share their experiences and knowledge about the island and the Azores in general. The facilities are perfect (sauna, pool, steam room, yoga studio, gym....) and well maintained. The rooms are perfect comfortable little cocoons. The shower has great pressure and temperature control, the beds are some of the most comfortable I have had in a hotel and the view takes your breath away every morning. Breakfast was fresh every morning and the variety was great. Choices changed everyday which made it enjoyable, as we stayed for almost a week. Coffee (GOOD COFFEE), tea and fresh water are always available.

This is the loveliest hotel I have ever stayed in! On one hand, you can feel the rich history of the place, and on the other hand, it's a charming boutique hotel where every detail is beautifully crafted. We thoroughly enjoyed the pool, the amazing breakfast, and the stunning views. It’s a place I would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Angra. Angra stole my heart; it's a place I would love to return to. You can take a leisurely 20-minute walk to the city center or drive to convenient public parking spots.

Most of all the friendly, supportive and professional staff. Only 2 nights and I felt at home. The outdoor swimming pool and direct access to the public beach. Overall the facilities, amazing room and the extraordinary view. Th SPA and services are a must to try!

Its a small island formed from multiple volcano calderas.

Its a small island formed from multiple volcano calderas. There are plenty of fantastic viewpoints. Its much less taken over by tourism than other bigger islands so you really feel authentic. Food and drink is very cheap and even excursions/trips are fairly affordable. Car hire etc has less choice than a bigger island. We hired a 125cc scooter which was a great way to explore the island. Many of the shops/bars speak English, but plenty of the locals do not. If you can learn a little Portuguese before you go it will definitely help.

A quiet location with a beautiful view, within easy reach of...

A quiet location with a beautiful view, within easy reach of everything. Right next door, in Porto Judeu, there's a good supermarket, Guarita, and a little further on, in São Sebastião, there's a good restaurant to eat the typical Espírito Santo soup, at the "Ilha" restaurant, but only on Sundays.

Feteira is pure relaxation, peace, and quiet.

Feteira is pure relaxation, peace, and quiet. I spend about a week on Terceira each time, sometimes longer, after which I visit other islands. At the end of my vacation, I return to Terceira for a day or two, then fly back to Lisbon and then home. In my opinion, it's the perfect spot on the island, although a car is required for the entire trip.
