    A nice little town with several good restaurants.

    A nice little town with several good restaurants. We visited in September and some restaurants were closed so we needed to book some of the more popular ones. Whaling museum interesting to understand previous culture and history of the Azores. Supermarket and a few small shops. We used this as our base. The roads on the whole were good between Lajes and other places of interest. There is a little windmill which is very picturesque especially at night when it is lit up. Lovely sunsets.

    Lajes do Pico is a small and very cute town.

    Lajes do Pico is a small and very cute town. It is clean and well maintained and has a few nice restaurants. We liked walking along the shore, eating at Ritinha restaurant, and eating Pastel de Nata at the Pastellaria.

    The discussion with owner was easy and smooth. Barbara contacted us a few days before our arrival to organise the check-in. The room was very confortable, clean and beautifully decorated. Furthermore, the hostel is located in the center of Lajes do Pico with some very good restaurants near by. Also, there is a natural pool a few minutes away by foot. It’s perfect!

    The receptionist Joyce was so nice and helpful, also the hotel is located on a beautiful cliff with access to the sea! The restaurant has tasty food and wines for a good price.
