It is in Mêda, on of the most beautiful areas of Portugal, with fields of wines, olives and almond trees. It is a simple, affordable, hotel, not fancy, but has large rooms, with proper duvets that are warm enough in the cold nights, a good breakfast with bread-rolls ham, cheese, and good coffee. The place is clean, staff are friendly and it is located close to a few local restaurants and a pizzeria. In the summer you can swim in the public, outdoor swimming pool, which is located a short stroll from the hotel. The wine in the area is excellent. You can go on walks in the beautiful area or drive to one of the nearby villages. Remember to bring your camera or sketching book!

A very pleasant location in an excellent area for a relaxing stay and to recharge your batteries. There aren't many services available in the area (such as restaurants, etc.), but this is due to the environment being more suitable for a restful stay.

Despite being a 4-hour drive from Lisbon, the distance is worth it to enjoy the rest and relaxation offered at this hotel. The heated outdoor pool is a great addition for unwinding. We visited the historic villages of Marialva and Trancoso.

A secluded place, excellent for rest and relaxation. The hotel restaurant is excellent, with unhurried service but superbly prepared meals. A visit to the ERNESTUS restaurant in S. João da Pesqueira, serving regional cuisine, is highly recommended; Mrs. Lídia treats guests with great care and attention. Reservations should be made in advance.

The hotel exceeded our expectations.

The hotel exceeded our expectations. Everything was very clean and organized. At this time of year, when it's colder, the temperature is pleasant everywhere. The heated outdoor pool is very good. At this time of year, with temperatures of 2 or 3 degrees Celsius at night, maintaining the water at that temperature is something else. We even stayed in the water while it was raining.

It has an excellent location for those who want to explore...

It has an excellent location for those who want to explore the Foz Côa region and the Douro River. Stunning landscapes and a good gastronomic offer. For dining, I recommend dinner in the late afternoon at the Côa Museum. Longroiva is very close to the IP2 highway, hence its easy access, as well as making it easy to travel to other destinations.
