We loved our stay at Casa do Vale! The owners were very welcoming, friendly, and went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. The room was beautifully decorated, quirky with attention to detail, full of vintage vibes, and traditional Portuguese decor. At night, we had the stove burning for a little while, works beautifully, adding comfort and a rustic feel to the place. Casa do Vale is set in a quiet, beautiful area with ancient olive trees. At night, we were able to do some star gazing from outside our room... We couldn't believe how clear, shiny, and close stars and planets looked!!✨️ The breakfast was excellent, personalised, and plentiful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Casa do Vale, and we hope to visit again in the future. We highly recommend it!

I felt at home. The staff is super friendly and really go the extra mile to make sure you are comfortable. I booked 1 night, ended up staying almost a week. First night in a private room, the other nights in the dorm. Both very clean and nice. As I had to do some remote work it was a very good place to stay longer. I spend my days swimming, working, hiking and enjoying the local food.

Excellent night at Casa do Frade. This was a last minute booking for us as we were just passing through on a motorcycle tour of Spain and Portugal. The whole apartment was spotless and had everything we needed. The laundry room and outdoor space was a bonus.

This is a series of apartments behind the main home of the family that owns the property. It also has an outdoor kitchen, two different outdoor eating areas, a pool, and an indoor recreation room. There are 3 separate apartments, however, we had rented the entire space. It provided much needed downtime between sightseeing and activities. Our kids enjoyed the pool table in the recreation room.

The host was so very welcoming and friendly, speaking excellent English (and French). The place was very well equipped, everything you need, clean and comfortable. Such wonderful peace and quiet with a pool exclusively for our use. Lovely village setting with great views, within walking distance to a small shop and with friendly locals. What a hidden gem! We arrived by motorbike in the rain, our host kindly allowed us use of the garage. Prior to our arrival we were given excellent directions to the property and further information about the security codes for entry. All instructions clear and concise. We loved our short stay and wish we had stayed longer.

I really enjoyed the view over the lake, it's fantastic.

I really enjoyed the view over the lake, it's fantastic. The pool is great, perfect for swimming and relaxing on the sun loungers. I wasn't satisfied with the service at the restaurant and bar; it was always slow and the staff were poorly qualified. I felt like they were understaffed.

A pleasant and peaceful place. Great for relaxing and enjoying nature while admiring the scenery. Excellent breakfast and very comfortable accommodations. Spacious room and wonderful bed. Worth returning, it's a shame I only stayed one night.

My stay was at the beginning of December, so the pool isn't really usable then. But it met my expectations, as it was a great base for visiting nearby historical and cultural sites. It's a good place to spend the night.

The location of this hotel is absolutely stunning — perched on top of a hill with breathtaking views of the lake, it truly reminded me of Lake Como in Italy. This setting is its biggest highlight. The hotel with a truly beautiful location and potential, but unfortunately, the services and facilities do not currently match the 4-star rating.

The hotel has stunning views over the river. It is a tranquil property with all amenities you need to enjoy a relaxing stay. The food is AMAZING, and a special compliment and a thank you to the waiter Gabriel for his professional service and attentive approach, he did a great job during dinner service!

The hotel is in a picturesque place, some rooms (especially on the 1st floor) have a beautiful view of the river. The pool is large and clean, with a well-kept lawn in front of it, where a pleasant scent of pine trees fills the air. The atmosphere is very calm and relaxed.

We had a room with a lake view, but the rain prevented us using the balcony. We had very good views from the restaurant which served local produce. Dinner and breakfast were both good. We were on route so did not have the time to sample the local are or hotel facilities.
