The staff were very friendly. The room is nice and clean. The breakfast was amazing. They even have almond milk! And they warm up the milk too. Part of the castle wall is kept on the second floor which was pretty cool to see.

The hosts were amazing. We were offered cheese, quince and vino Verde on our arrival! The room itself was out of a novel ! The breakfast was the best we had in Portugal. With all of those, I forgot to mention the view!

One of the best stays ever! The building has been recently renovated making either the room and the common spaces great. The room was a full apartment with a lot of space and new furniture, the staff was really friendly and ready to answer all our requests. Finally the position was perfect to visit Lamego old town and leave our car in the nearby.

The house is beautifully taken care of down to the smallest details. The kitchen has everything you might possibly need, the bedroom is very comfortable and spotlessly clean, and everything is new and equipped with all the comforts. The host is super friendly and helpful. The house itself is lovely and located in a very charming little village. There is private parking inside the property, which is really convenient for unloading luggage. Air conditioning/heating is available and works perfectly. It’s very quiet — we slept wonderfully! A great strategic location for an on-the-road trip across the Douro Valley.

There was so much to love. Behind a somewhat humble external facade on an ordinary street, the absolutely charming owner - Zilda - has created a stunning refit of an old building. There are bold modern touches but it all fitted in with original theme of the building. The rooms are modern and very comfortable. Our group (2 couples) were greeted with an invitation for sparkling wine on the roof terrace - which is also where a beautiful breakfast was prepared by Zilda the next morning. We would highly recommend - and would not hesitate to stay here again if we were in Lamego.

We loved everything! The wine tasting, the view, the house we stayed in, the excellent hospitality, and the amazing breakfast!! The place was very easy to get to, and close to Lamego which was great. We regret only staying one night! We stayed at 6 places during our two week trip to Portugal and this was hands down our favorite.
