We loved the hotel and it was an amazing stay with our 1yr old. The location and facilities are beautiful. The room is super spacious and great to have a baby - cot and amenities for kids provided. The balcony was great to hang out. Super comfortable bed and amenities. The outdoor possibilities for children - animal farm, games, garden, playroom - made it super easy to have our baby. Plus the food was great and the service too.

Great very remote location with a spectacular view of the alqueva lake. Comfortable bed and a very nice room. Friendly and very helpful staff. From check in to check out everything was great! We particularly loved the dogs (Estrella!) and the very quiet pool area. If you want to relax in the middle of nowhere this is the place to be!

I really like that area.

I really like that area. Whenever I can, I go back because that tranquility, that peace of mind you feel in the Alentejo region, you can't find anywhere else. And it's interesting because now practically all the villages have ATMs, several cafes/restaurants, a pharmacy, post office, etc....and most importantly, they have people....they're no longer deserted villages.

Montoito is very well located – there are beautiful...

Montoito is very well located – there are beautiful landscapes all around, it's very close to Reguengos de Monsaraz and also allows easy access to Monsaraz, which is well worth a visit. If you intend to have lunch or dinner in these towns, you should book in advance, as you run a serious risk of arriving at normal mealtimes and not being served...

Montoito is a small town in the Alentejo region with little to do. However, it's an excellent base for exploring the surrounding area. It's advisable to buy food and other essential supplies in Reguengos de Monsaraz.

A very picturesque village with delicious Alentejo bread,...

A very picturesque village with delicious Alentejo bread, available at the bakery. There's a small supermarket where you can stock up on supplies to prepare some meals at home. It's not far from Alqueva, where we attended the DarkSkyParty event, which promotes astronomy and space science.

Montoito is very centrally located inland – it's close to...

Montoito is very centrally located inland – it's close to Redondo and Reguengos. We ate in Redondo at the Torre restaurant. The village is quiet and has a supermarket, café, playground and a traditional bakery where the Alentejo bread is very good.
