Huge fully detached villa. Modern, new furniture. Large spacious rooms. BBQ area Plenty of towels available. Washing machine available. Very quiet area. Very cut off. Basic amenities still available in the village. Little coffee shop/grocery shop available 2min away. Restaurants 10min drive. We loved the remoteness of the place. Perfect for larger family groups. We arrived late at night and still found someone waiting to greet us. Impressive view points 10/15min away. (My favourite viewpoints in the whole island)

"This was the last place we stayed on our journey through the island, and it was lovely. We really liked the house and the effort Marta has put into it to make it a comfortable and cool place to stay in. I especially enjoyed the little gift shop with artwork from local artists, including Marta's, so of course, I had to purchase some things. We also enjoyed spending time on the back terrace and chatting with the neighbors across the street."

It’s really super charming place to stay. It’s a house with a soul, with nice interior and amazing backyard. There were so many vintage items in the house, like a small museum to stay in :) It has all the equipment needed to cook and grill. And it was nice to stay outside and enjoy the view to the ocean. The island is small and this place is easy to reach. So leave your doubts that is far from Ponta Delgada ;)

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Casa de Campo in Algarvia - Azores, with a group of nine people, and I must say that our experience was nothing short of exceptional. From the attentive staff to the well-appointed house, every aspect of our stay surpassed our expectations. First and foremost, the staff at Casa de Campo went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction throughout our entire stay. They were incredibly caring, accommodating, and always available to assist with any inquiries or requests we had, just had to phone them. Their warm and friendly demeanour truly made us feel welcomed and valued as guests. The house itself was simply great. Spacious, comfortable, and traditionally decorated, it provided us with a wonderful home away from home. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed to prepare our meals, making it convenient for our large group. We were able to enjoy some cooked meals together, which added an extra element of togetherness and joy to our vacation. One of the highlights of Casa de Campo was undoubtedly the swimming pool area, which offered breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape and a front-row seat to witness the most phenomenal sunsets. The serenity and tranquillity of the pool area provided the perfect space for relaxation and unwinding after a day of exploring the beautiful Azores. Furthermore, the location of Casa de Campo was ideal for our group. It offered a peaceful retreat away from the hustle and bustle of the city, which was around 40min drive from. Whether we wanted to explore the natural beauty of the Azores, visit nearby beaches, or embark on adventurous hikes, Casa de Campo served as an excellent base for all our explorations.

Quite big, very clean and calm, the beds were comfortable. Very nice contact with the hosts and a lot of useful information found in a guide. Close to Pico da Vara trail and other Nordeste sights. We could easily park the car along the street.

There is not much going on here.

There is not much going on here. We stayed here as it's close to Pico Da Vara. We should have stayed at Furnas though as we ended up driving down there 3 times :-) That being said, the island is small and it's all doable.

The actual property was in the village of Lomba da Fazenda...

The actual property was in the village of Lomba da Fazenda and we didn't actually manage to visit Nordeste town, as we ran out of time. We booked a table at Tony's in Furnace and ate in the villa 4 nights. There is a little bar locally, and store but we didn't visit it. A car is essential for this part of the island. We tried to get to the local sea pools, but went down the wrong lane. However we did find a lovely walk down to the rocky beach (no sand, but maybe at low tide there might be some??) We would avoid the stone hidden in the grass verge on our next visit!!

Calm place in the northeast of the island (they did not...

Calm place in the northeast of the island (they did not search too long for the name). The Miradouro are amazing, special mention for the gardeners. Furthermore, there is a black sand beach that is a must see.
