The room (and the hotel as well) appears to have been newly renovated. My room has a balcony overlooking the river. There is a medium-sized supermarket next to the hotel which is really convenient for some drinks or snacks. The staff was very friendly, helpful yet efficient.

A beautiful house run by a very friendly host. Very tasty breakfast, with fresh bread and rolls and even one day pasteis de nata. Delicious. Comfortable beds. There was an electric heater at our disposal so the room was warm. The bathroom was for 3 rooms, very clean too and easily available. Very quiet at night. A free parking space is 200 metres from the house. 15 minutes on foot from Ovar centre so the location was very good.

Key transfer was quick and hassle-free. The apartment had everything we needed and was by far the cleanest place I’ve ever stayed in. The interior is modern and beautifully designed, and the terrace was a perfect spot to relax. Highly recommended!

The place is awesome! Situated in the middle of the coastal lagoon with marshy and arboreal vegetation it immerses you in tranquility and slowdown. The owners, Paula and Fernando, are very welcoming and friendly - they made our stay unforgettable. They did not make the hotel or b&b but rather created a place that invites you to their home and way of life. The house and the rooms are beautifully decorated - the interior is filled with different art, created by portuguese designers, where every detail has a meaning. Breakfast, as everything else, was great - with local and homemade products - it was fresh and tasty. We definitely would like to come back and to have more time in this amazing place.

Everything was comfortable. The apartments are fully equipped with everything that you need for a long stay. It is in the centre of the Ovar city. Very nice place with close distance to markets, restaurants, church etc. It was very pleasant and easy to communicate with hostess. Ana is so helpful and nice person! She helped us a lot with one our problem.

Ovar is a quiet town with limited restaurants she not too much to do. The appeal is the countryside and lagoon for cycling plus nearby beaches although on October even though the temperature was 27 degree the Atlantic Ocean is too cold and rough for swimming

I liked Ovar.

I liked Ovar. It is small and close to other places of interest. I took a day to return to Porto by train, to photograph the tile work in the Sao Bento train station. I did a little shopping, ate in some of the many restaurants and took more photos at the Blue church, Capela das Almas, Chapel of Souls. I also went by taxi to Valega to photograph the tile work on the church there. It is amazing. I read later that it is best to go at dusk due to the light. But I didn't get to see the inside. Check the times it is open.

Honestly, I loved everything, as long as the children had a wonderful holiday; for me, that's the most important thing. The city is beautiful, and we visited some areas; it was lovely. We ate in almost all the local restaurants; the food was very good. The children enjoyed the beach, and there was a truly magnificent circus.

A central location for exploring both Porto and Aveiro. A pretty town. A visit to the João Oliveira School Museum is especially recommended—an unforgettable experience, particularly if you're traveling with children.

A very pretty town that we hadn't visited before.

A very pretty town that we hadn't visited before. Beautiful at this time of year. The only downside was that on Sunday we wanted to go for breakfast and almost everything was closed. Going down a narrow street opposite the town hall, just a few meters to the left there's a place where you can eat delicious homemade food at a good price, where they served us with great warmth and made us feel right at home.

Ovar is an ideal city for those seeking peace and quiet. A city with charms for all tastes. A beautiful beach, a lovely urban garden, and houses that are the epitome of Portuguese style! Ovar is worth a visit!

The house is a concentrate of beauty. Furnished with incredible taste. The kindness of Bruno and his collaborators is unique, as much as the colors that fill your eyes. Excellent breakfast that you can enjoy on the terrace. Large bright room and all the necessary comfort. The location is good, a few kilometers from incredible ocean beaches, near Aveiro, a very pretty town and Ovar also pleasantly surprised us: many restaurants where you eat very well. Easy for visiting the city of Porto as well.

Friendly, clean, comfortable and interestingly decorated with numerous old artifacts - if you want 21st century chic this is not for you. The accommodation is well equipped and has facilities for cooking your own food. Very rural location but only a short car ride to two big supermarkets and a town (Ovar) with numerous bars, restaurants and shops. Claudia the owner speaks excellent English (and German) and is very knowledgeable about the region. She did everything to ensure we had an enjoyable stay.

The apartment is luxury on an excellent location in the core city center of city Ovar. There are 2 toilets, amazing bathroom, great kitchen. Bed comfortable. Air conditioning in both living room and bedroom. 15 minutes by walk from train station. 5 minutes walk to the nearest bus station. 5 minutes walk to the closest supermarket.
