The location was brilliant, in the centre of São João da Madeira, and right on the Caminho Santiago. The housekeeper was there when I arrived and made entry super easy, and she explained everything clearly. She was brilliant. The room was exceptional. There are kitchen facilities and a rooftop terrace. I would highly recommend this place.

This room was perfect for my husband and I while we were...

This room was perfect for my husband and I while we were walking the Camino de Santiago. The room was very clean. The shower was amazing. There was also a large kitchen with refrigerator and stove. The room had plenty of space for our packs.

We stayed here while visiting Perlim and it was a great...

We stayed here while visiting Perlim and it was a great choice. The views of the beautifully decorated square with lights were fantastic, and in the morning there was a Christmas market and activities for children. It's also well located for lunch and dinner without needing a car. The rooms are old but clean and have comfortable beds. The breakfast was good and varied.

It was a perfect stay, if it weren't for the noise at night...

It was a perfect stay, if it weren't for the noise at night it would have been excellent!!! But for someone who was walking the Camino de Santiago, after almost 26 km on foot, a hot shower and a great bed were the best part of the accommodation, not forgetting the fantastic breakfast included, the attention given to everyone at all times...it was wonderful.

As a former resident, I really like the city.

As a former resident, I really like the city. It's peaceful and friendly. For those who want to relax, it's a good choice. It has green parks, popular festivals during the summer, as well as traditional restaurants and cafes. If you want to experience your stay like a local, go for it!

Old hotel with old equipment but everything was working and clean. The bed was very comfortable. Good quality towels. Soundproofing was good. Free parking in the hotel basement. Staff was very helpful and friendly. We did not pay extra for our child sharing a room with us.

I don't usually write reviews, but I had such a great night at this hotel that I feel it should go commended: Spa facilities, delicious breakfast, friendly staff, parking availability, extremely comfortable beds, little touches like the hat.
